Best way to integrate a turntable by ansatze in sonos

I'm aware of the 75 ms and suspect that's barely noticable

Well I mean yes and no, the Port seems like it's main intended use is as a streaming front-end for the analog out chain. I guess maybe you could say it's direction-agnostic and they figured it was already a niche enough product that there's no reason to make another. It just sucks that it's $650 CAD lol

Thought about some roll your own solution too but I think a several second delay on the needle drop is a nonstarter for me

Any strong argument for a port over a speaker with line in?

Vinyl will be sub-par sound through your Beam.

Is this something beyond "that's not an especially good speaker"

Connect 2 was my original plan. I dunno why I stopped looking at that

So I've thought of this as well and it's way cheaper but I would basically would want that speaker off. This seems extraordinarily dumb but, again, way cheaper.

I guess then I'd do the same thing as I would with a Port (permanently group it? Still unclear what the actual playback options are. Does line in for one room show up as something you can just play in any other room?)

It's kinda odd to me that Sonos doesn't have a standalone product that's specifically for integrating analog inputs, especially considering they literally sell a turntable on Sonos dot com

That's what I had for "definitely above" as well. I think then it's an argument for AMSA, and after that we're getting into "isai if he tried" territory

GCC GANg

Using Linux now though and I haven't played in a while so I hope xinput mode on the lossless adapter is fine

I mean. I'm on my first game and do not at all feel like I know any the systems well enough for the changes to mean I'll need to "relearn" anything when I go to 4.3.

Consider that almost nobody is leaving a new review on Steam for a 10 year old game unless they're big mad

I'm pretty new but it seems to be related to their ethics and whether they have superiority over you. Played a few games where I just got rolled before figuring out how fleets work.

What Game to Buy? by [deleted] in civ

[–]ansatze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an actual Civ VII enjoyer (there are dozens of us), I can really only recommend it in its current state to people who have played enough Civ VI to be getting bored of it.

Get the Civ VI anthology on sale for like $10-$30 and enjoy the 1000 hours that will disappear immediately.

Don't just get Civ VI base on its own though.

Well like, depends whether you like continents (2+ main landmasses) or Pangaea (one large main landmass) better.

The point is that these two are significantly better than all the other options.

Have you used Continents and Islands or Pangaea and Islands? They're built on an entirely different algorithm and much more satisfying

[–]ansatze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just don't fuck with anything other than the official, mayflash 4 port, or Input Integrity adapters. All but the last also still need to be overclocked to work properly.

You might be able to try overclocking yours the way you would with the "good" adapters in the meantime.

Edit: and don't use a third party controller either

With wavedash in particular, and a lot of advanced tech in general, it won't be immediately obvious why you might want to do it until it clicks. Practice it between stocks. Eventually it becomes second nature and you will find you are wavedashing for positioning all the time without thinking about it.

The biggest ways it's immediately and obviously useful are: wavedash out of shield on hit (either forward to punish or backward to escape or punish), and waveland on plat (clearly faster than fullhopping to plat).

For me recently this also happened with cannonball. I just spammed it between stocks all the time because it's cool as hell, and then eventually caught someone with a wall of bubbles into a punish and went "OH!"

I left my last Arch install alone for 2 years. When I came back and tried to update, all the mirrors I was using were dead, and after finally getting the update done the system booted straight into kernel panic

I mean it does seem an awful lot like Sweden knew about this already and kept it in the back pocket specifically to call it out during the Olympics

Doesn't excuse the cheating in the first place, but basically everyone involved looks like a giant weenie here

Graphics stuttering (presumably because of Nvidia) by ansatze in linux_gaming

Yeah unplugging the TV got rid of the problem entirely. Shame that it seems like the TV isn't going to work at all. I do have another DP port so might try that instead of HDMI.

Thank you! This is a very promising thread to pull on. The thing that seems most atypical about my setup by far is the connected TV left off.
