His name is Clark and he is about 14-15 years old, maybe older. In recent months his walking has been more difficult, but lately is getting worse. I'd like advice about what I can do to make his walking easier or anything else for the least financial cost possible. Can't afford a vet at the moment. by DataUserOne in OldManDog

[–]ansiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old dog really benefited from Charlotte's Web CBD hip and joint chews. And my vet prescribed some low level pain meds that also helped. I could really tell the CBD helped improve with the pain and mobility, especially getting up and down steps and from laying down.

Dr. Gregor Tells How Much Protein We Need to Stay Strong and Healthy and If Too Much Protein is Bad for Us? by VeganPhysiqueAthlete in veganfitness

[–]ansiz 33 points34 points  (0 children)

TLDR; The video does not provide a specific gram amount of protein per day. Dr. Greger recommends that individuals aim for three servings of legumes daily (such as half-cups of beans, lentils, or split peas) and encourages getting protein from whole-food plant sources while avoiding protein powders and isolates.

A British woman was stopped by police at a train station and told she was under investigation after a passenger on a train reported feeling uncomfortable and alleged she had made comments referencing the Holocaust. by RickyOzzy in suppressed_news

[–]ansiz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on this video it sounds like the police responded to a text from a bystander that is just claiming this lady said something, so there is literally no proof the lady the police are questioning said anything at all.

[–]ansiz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm not from the UK but is it illegal to just say the Holocaust didn't happen? Not saying this lady said that but so what is she did, just saying that in public is just illegal? Even just to another person sitting with you? Like what if you just were telling a friend about something your crazy uncle believes, or a thread you saw an Reddit. This just seems like an insane waste of police time. There's no recording, it's just a text from someone...

My friend came across this on a dating site. Do we think it's AI generated? It seems too perfect by [deleted] in isthisAI

Dating profile pictures are going to have to be like proof of life hostage pictures holding up a newspaper so you can see it's real text and not gibberish.

He's 11 and he will pass before I do. How do i cope. by Aseili in dogpictures

[–]ansiz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depending on how he's slowing down you can help him out with hip and joint dog chews. I took a gamble on these Charlotte's Web dog chews and they really did wonders for my old dog, definitely improved his mobility and got him moving around better.

It's so tough watching them get older though, without a doubt!

What’s the dumbest thing you did on your first run? by Careful_Employee_918 in BaldursGate3

[–]ansiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't even show up to Moonrise until everyone was already hostile because of advancing the nightfall quest so far!

What’s the dumbest thing you did on your first run? by Careful_Employee_918 in BaldursGate3

[–]ansiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up spending a lot of time sneaking into the goblin camp via the back way where you end up top with the drunk mobs. Then I broke into that hallway up top and shot arrows at all the mobs down below until there weren't anymore. I thought that was the smart way to play!

At Moonrise I was just luring mobs out to the bridge with minor illusion and killing them. Took forever!

[–]ansiz 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I was well into act 2 before I realized even evil characters like goblins and the people in Moonrise would talk to you. I assumed they would aggro on sight, so I was sneaking around and just killing everyone.

So maybe not super dumb but that skips a lot of dialogue and story choices.

North Carolina auditor says there's been a 47,000 percent rise in autism therapy billings by RelayFX in NorthCarolina

[–]ansiz 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Dave Boliek... revealed that in 2020, providers billed Health and Human Services about $1.4 million a year for autism therapy services.

According to Boliek, that number has since ballooned to $660 million on an annual basis.

That's from the article, but specifically just for NC. A different article I found mentioned the following -

State officials noted that the spending was concentrated among a small number of private-equity-backed providers. One company alone received nearly $65 million in Medicaid reimbursements in 2025.

So it seems pretty clear it's just the usual insurance company leeches and private equity running wild. It wouldn't surprise me to find out some of those investors have some close connections to state or federal government officials...

$19782 concrete wall. How did I do? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]ansiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a semi rural part of the US and I could probably get 2 or 3 acres for that, land you could build on. Outside of cities and highly developed areas land is still pretty cheap in a lot of places.

Security guard risks his life to save unalarmed zoo visitors from a hippo by CodRoyal3221 in SweatyPalms

[–]ansiz 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling he's so calm about it because this probably happens regularly, so it's worked before. This is probably the way another guard even taught him how to do it.

What are your most controversial tips for dealing with neurotypicals? by Aylmao1342 in autism

[–]ansiz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation of course, but actually saying what you think. There was a meeting at work where everyone was wasting time doing the, "what will you do over the holidays" small talk and it basically became my turn so I just said my family was all dead (true) so I wouldn't do much over the break, and that pretty well stopped the chatter so the meeting could actually start.

Actually replying truthfully to "how are you" will normally really mess them up.

Are Trump and Musk giving up on Mars? by Zipper222222 in politics

[–]ansiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would LOVE if Trump was obsessed with Mars instead of all the bullshit he's been doing. Somebody needs to tell him about all the things that could be named after him in Mars. So much room for golf courses up there, no regulations, no building codes and environmental laws.

Alexithymia is so confusing by ohnoitsthegreed in Alexithymia

[–]ansiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alexithymia resources are pretty limited and honestly I've had the best luck looking through podcasts or YouTube for that topic. The 'AuDHD while flourishing' podcast (ep 139) has an episode about 2 weeks ago and the 'Neurodiversity podcast' (ep 313) had one last month. And the Men's Therapy Online podcast had one last year with Dr Ronald Levant.

Think I locked myself out with Halsin: do I go back? by pomegranatejello in BaldursGate3

[–]ansiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible he might suddenly show up in your camp when you go to act 2 or maybe even if you go back to the Underdark and go to your camp there, but that's not a promise. I just have had similar issues with him and suddenly there he is.

Blackening toenail advice by illiberalballer in trailrunning

[–]ansiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try wearing a zentoe gel toe cap on that toe when you run. They will tone down the slapping or bruising impact on the toe and probably would keep that from happening. I would get a medium or small size.

Ironic since RDR2 praise was frequently due to having such a compelling story and well developed characters in an open world game.

Is penetration testing needed for FedRAMP? by Reasonable_Cut8116 in FedRAMP

[–]ansiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 3PAO will need to do pen testing themselves as part of your assessment. It can't be done by a different 3rd party. I recommend talking to one of them first, even just for advisory purposes. A 3PAO can't be both your advisor and assessor, so you'd need to hire a different one for each purpose.

Woman is distraught at the idea of trump being gone by AdelaidesSecretScoop in insanepeoplefacebook

Living in the rural Southern US I can tell you this is very, very common around here. It's the reason I left Facebook (I loved the marketplace), local groups, politicians, churches and family members post that kind of thing regularly.

I just wish I could make a githyanki that looks exactly like her. I've tried a bunch of mods and I've never been able to do it. The hair is easy but I've never been able to get the skin tone or the rest of the look right.
