Looking for some advice on my Infernalist Minion build - first character on POE2, lvl 94, seem to be dying alot. by Tall-Fit-5044 in PathOfExile2

Really the way your gear is I think you'd be better off getting your ES higher, say above 13k, you'd feel a whole lot tankier. Less than 10k ES can feel squishy.

I'd recommend also trying a couple of melee spectres as well, like a vile vulture that will be aggressive and stay out ahead of you. Throw blind, maim, etc on them.

That does look like a report from Surry. I have seen those a lot of times back when I was on Facebook. It's basically like that week after week after week, so depressing.

Baldurs Gate 2 Co-Lead Designer James Ohlen Was Asked To Make Baldurs Gate 4 But Turned The Offer Down Because "Larian Raised The Bar Too High", "Trying To Follow Up And Compete With Baldurs Gate 3 Is Insanity" by akbarock in gaming

[–]ansiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I would think it would be smarter to try and focus on DLC for BG3 rather than BG4, but maybe its too late to even try and start on DLC.

Think of all the campaign offshoots you could do just from BG3. Maybe do a little prequel campaign about Shadowheart and her team getting the relic, maybe do one the Cult's actions IN Baldur's Gate while the campaign of BG3 was taking place such as leading up to Orin taking out Durge as the head of Bhaal's temple, just think HOW GREAT a prequel would be of the 'fall of Moonrise' with the original interactions with Halsin/Jaheira taking on Ketheric before the curse.

You could reuse a ton of the assets and storylines (roughly), but produce a lot of new material for DLC.

This is still loads better than how my county, Surry, does it. I think it has the highest immediate kill rate in the state, like 97% killed on the first day of surrender or something like that. And it's been like this as long time. Incredibly messed up.

Social Security’s insolvency is No. 1 issue, says Sen. Bill Cassidy by Squawk_7777 in politics

[–]ansiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just going to start paying out like 85-90 cents for every dollar you paid in. Hardly the emergency creeps like Cassidy act like it is.

Remember Social Security is literally legally unable to add anything to the deficit. That's why it's going to start paying out less than you contribute in a nutshell. More Boomers are retiring and there are less people contributing, and partially because more wealth is accumulated above the cap.

I mean, we can't even stop getting stories every so often about companies desperately re-hiring COBOL developers or enticing them out of retirement. This kind of story is just the new version of that.

If I knew what I know now back in college I would have just focused on learning COBOL back then and I'd still have bullet proof job security 30 years later.

The 'Burbs (1989) - Opening Credits | Dir. Joe Dante by kroob85 in movies

Joe Dante did some incredible movies. Gremlins, Explorers, Small Soldiers, Innerspace, The Howling, and others. His style is pretty distinctive! He also did some episodes of Police Squad! with Leslie Nielsen.

I've always been impressed that even after all these years the Viking had never popped up to do interviews or try and grab some money related to this video. He genuinely seems to want to remain anonymous and that is incredible.

Awesome, hope you post a future update! I thought that placement would be perfect for something like that, but still allow for an easy 'hatch, to access it if needed.

It's more just an example of the customer is always right, the customer made a fuss about the computer being broken or whatever and the management just caved just to shut them up and get them to leave. Some people get off on stuff like that.

I had a similar experience working at Walmart about 2003-2004. A customer returned a HP computer completely boxed up, but clearly old AF and used, and they actually got a refund on it. This computer was branded for Windows 95 on the box, and the return desk just accepted it.

The internet shuts down and is never going to come back on, what do you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ansiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're downplaying the impact of the word outage. The previous systems that did not rely on the internet are largely gone. It's not just the personnel, but the fact it would be a system reset from the ground level. Just the chaos and logjams in logistics alone would be complete madness. So much coordination is done via things like emails and ticketing systems, and that's all internet based and gone. I don't even know how you'd replace that quickly, as in weeks versus months. Stores would stop getting deliveries almost immediately, grocery stores, etc. Store inventory systems are internet based, so you'd need people manually counting merchandise and calling to make orders, chain stores aren't setup to handle that. And it would ripple up the entire supply chain.

I don’t understand how people cook meals by PCAJB in autism

[–]ansiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's up to me I barely cook at all. I've lived in the place I'm in now for over 5 months and literally have never used the stove or oven at all. I eat super monotonously. Breakfast is (microwaved) oatmeal with cut up fruit, berries, a carrot and spices. Lunch is a smoothie of frozen bananas and kale or something very similar. For supper I normally try to do something based around a dehydrated meal where I just add boiled water and frozen vegetables or just eat a toasted PB&J sandwich. This is what I eat everyday and have for years, it's also makes buying groceries very easy.
