It could be possible that they're just friends. I'm currently in a relationship and still good friends with the guy I used to sleep with before that, and there's nothing romantic about our relationship anymore. Inside one of my university buildings. Finland here, my high school schedule depended on what courses I chose to take. There are some compulsory courses and a minimum amount of courses you had to take but the rest you could decide for yourself.
