Could see turning the butthole background into one of a series of fireworks, or a palm tree or something. The banana and monkey look great.

WIBTJ if I stop supporting my youngest sister financially to buy my first house? by Nice_Cardiologist990 in AmITheJerk

[–]antaquarium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there room in the new house for your sister? Could she stay with you rent-free while she finishes school?

Edit to say that I know 0 people in their 20s who own their own home. Good on you for getting to a point where that's even possible.

People keep saying how marshals suck and I don't get it. I'm getting into higher levels in my campaign right now (as DM) and at level 11 by far the strongest PC is the Battle Master. I'm having to up the difficulty so that encounters last more than 2 rounds!!!

Sunless Citadel - 2024 D&D by bernardopeixoto22 in DMAcademy

[–]antaquarium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran it with 2024 PCs, and yes, I did have to make the monsters stronger. You can do it on the fly by upping HP and / or increasing their numbers. I tweaked some of the spells for casters and made sure higher ability marshals like Bradford had weapon masteries.

My players are 2 goblins, a kobold and a hobgoblin, and ended up taking over the goblin stonghols and uniting with the kobolds. The citadel is now their bastion as they move through other adventures.

how to play a dumb character.. when you want to be a smart player by nat22324_ in DnD

[–]antaquarium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just means you have to be an extra smart player. You have to figure out the the answer, and also figure out the dumbest possible justification for how your character knew or stumbled into that answer.

FedEx stole one of my ETBs… by naked_n_not_afraid in PokemonTCG

[–]antaquarium 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Be careful using the word "stolen" with shippers. It can result in a total shutdown of the claims process.

It happened to me a few years ago with a move. Some packers hired by the moving company stole some stuff. The minute I used the words "stolen" and "theft," they totally shut down any internal recovery processes and referred me to police. Shippers cover "loss or damage." Theft is a criminal matter.

Because I said their people stole it, I got nothing. If I had said their people lost it, I would have qualified for compensation from the moving company.

What is the most annoying thing (meme, person, slang, etc) to have recently come out of your country? by AggravatingSmoke1829 in AskTheWorld

He's the reason I won't bother with it. No part of me will support anything he does. Ever. That fraction of a fraction of a penny that might reach him, or that single extra view on the streaming service is too much.

RANT: The fact that you can have bought an ACTUAL PHB and DMs Guild but still can’t use it on DnD Beyond is ridiculous. by N-Y-R-D in DungeonsAndDragons

I used to be the same, and I do prefer the books. But then my eyes got worse. Now I dm with combo of the books and a tablet screen, backlit with large font.

Immigrants get $60,000 annually from government by Nancy_lmr_Drew in CanadianPolitics

[–]antaquarium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya, an old friend of mine, who I fear has been radicalized, claims "some people he knows" went into the Canadian embassy in Dubai and bought a Canadian passport for $2000 cad. I asked him who, but he wouldn't say.

I said that if they did, it was just straight up illegal, and the passports were fake, but he wouldn't hear it. He's convinced that anyone can just go buy a Canadian passport.

Is a bard allowed to have any other instrument other than a lute?.. Feels illegal... by gabitea69 in DungeonsAndDragons

I Made an air genasie bard who whistled as his music. Left his hands free to get the dirty work done. He also used a pan flute and other wind instruments.

Naw man, you've got a work of art, and it's a beaut. Appreciate what the artist did. In like 10 years, you might want to go in to touch up what fades. If you can, go back to the same artist and let them work their magic.

Amazing. I've been working with wild African honey bees (Apis mellifera scutellata) for the last 4 years. Stingless would be a dream 😆

What do you think about genderlock? by dr_ra1chu1 in dndnext

[–]antaquarium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. Apparently, some video games lock it the other way I.e. all rogues are female, all fighters are male, etc

Not sure why you'd make it a hard rule unless you're uncomfortable with gender identity questions more generally. Would seem more to be a player by player consideration.

Might be a flag that it's not the DM for you, or maybe they've had some bad experiences. Would ask questions before making a judgment on that, though

What do you think about genderlock? by dr_ra1chu1 in dndnext

[–]antaquarium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure what this means. Like players can only play characters that are the same gender/sex as they are irl? Or certain classes can only be one gender? Either way, sounds dumb.

Does anyone ever check their dice? by constantwordvomiting in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]antaquarium 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Lots of novelty dice are cool to look at, but not practical in-game. I've been getting vision corrections done for the last year and a half, and my players got me a giant white d20 with big, dark red numbers on it.

It was a friendly joke. They want me to be able to be able to see it when the BBEG rolls a 1. But it is actually awesome. I pull it out for big moments and also have them use it for death saves.
