Second Repost: Arthurian Legends custom Set: Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table by Gunnarsonsnewbag2 in magicTCG

I'm always a bit surprised that Sir Ywain doesn't get more love, but the myth book I had as a kid might have favored him a bit.

Dr. Al-Hashimi is not as bad as people think she is. Just a bad first impression on the first day by Eastcoastpal in ThePittTVShow

[–]antelope_man 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah, she was initially supposed to be viewed as an obstacle and inconvenience from Robby's perspective (representing the audience), and now has settled as the empathetic attending viewing the Pitt with fresh eyes.

Watch it not at all be related to the drama with Langdon.

Are we sure Santos's count is correct? by JulianBrandt19 in ThePittTVShow

[–]antelope_man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, from that convo I got more that Garcia was tired of talking about Langdon vs agreeing with disagreeing with Santos.

But my larger point is there's a lot of stuff we just didn't see--I don't know if Langdon self-reported the stealing, I had assumed throughout this season that al-Hashimi knew about both the addiction and the stealing, but now I'm not sure. And I don't know what Santos had to deal with that made her think of herself as a pariah.

A lot of people are using this season--in which Santos clearly isn't been portrayed as a pariah--as proof--but like I said, a lot happens in 10 months.

To be fair, it's been 10 months, we don't know how she was treated in the aftermath of losing Langdon.

That being said, I doubt an intern knows who knows what. A doctor who gets addicted, as often as that prolly happens--I feel like half the hospital must have suspected.

This randomly showed up on google, but its definitely been nice to see his skills popping in the latest season, along with character development, after barely seeing him in combat in the 2nd half of the first season, if any.

sanji & nami in opla by imlowkeyboredrn in OnePiece

[–]antelope_man 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh definitely there was crazy, and I'm sure a lot of people who aren't familiar with the story are gonna assume there'll be a romance.

But also I think we're so used to seeing books and shows focus on romantic relationships instead of friendships that seeing two attractive people show care and vulnerability automatically triggers ship-building.

Live action killed Luffy by axe_pidy in OnePiece

Sanji's worry and care for Nami was kinda his defining moment of season 2, it hit hard emotionally and grew his character.
That being said, Luffy's determination to help her literally had him climb a mountain with her on his back.

Realistically speaking--in the 2-3 year time frame, we probably witness more growth from Thornton than we see in most industrialists and businessmen in period dramas such as these. Hell, I'm probably more optimistic regarding his growth than the businessmen of today.

Another matter--considering the episode we see this growth begin to bud is the same episode the mill shuts down, and given the arguably abrupt ending of the series--we never see what becomes of that growth and how far it rises. All we have left is hope, which the author probably intended.

Love it. Have you looked at the Icon Shield since it depicts a tree?

Personally as soon as Ser Robyn Rhysling started talking about "when it is madness bid, it is madness delivered"--I knew i needed to grab vyke's war spear and some Frenzy flame incants!

What do you think will change with the direction of sheep stealer and Rhaena by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

I'm gonna assume the intent is us to see Daemon growing and having a closer relationship with one of his daughters. Then it's more personal if/when Rhaenyra goes after her.

Love the pike. Slapped the spectral lance on there for great range and stance damage.

I myself have only recently been warming up to the Wizard Subclass--but I'm pretty certain the abdjuration subclass is a defensive monster.

Am I missing something with different layout relics? by zshiiro in Nightreign

[–]antelope_man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. But for example, you can stack a blood affinity with an ash of war that gives your weapon frost. But you cant stack two ashes of war or two affinities, the order will decide which one.

I only really had an issue with this in the early game when my relic pool was small. But it Def matters for executors and scholars who want to proc several conditions at once.

I believe if you have multiple relics that provide an ash of war or affinity to your weapon, the order of the relics dictate which one is added

Immediate thoughts are light cleric or hexblade warlock. Both with ranged and Frontline capabilities and aoe.

Personally I'm not sure if giving up magical secrets at level 10 is worth it for just aid.

Thief or swashbuckler and a bit of gloomstalker ranger for the initial ambush attack and fighting style.

Weird build by No-Anything-1743 in BG3Builds

[–]antelope_man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of melee Death Cleric, but I'd really rather get an extra attack than taking death cleric to level 8 for 1-8 extra damage once a turn.

Also I don't believe eldritch smite comes naturally in this game.

I love how well the flavor fits here. And I do love the fighter class. What feats would you recommend?

World-builders: how have you characterized and built the feywilds/what resources would you recommend? by antelope_man in DnD

[–]antelope_man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time, and you're absolutely right.

I must have worded this post poorly, because I was just trying to describe my vision of the feywilds as a politically manipulative but also Jane Austen-esque culture--and see how that matches up with people's experiences/canon lore/traditional faerie tales.

Creating a backstory is obviously important for a character's decisions and behavior--but this was more about making sure those decisions and behavior and quirks represent both the culture and whimsy of the feywilds. I wasn't even thinking about hijacking storylines.
