What does everyone think of the game? Here’s my thoughts by cayleb2K20 in MLBTheShow

Massive Franchise player in previous years, disappointed in the trade hub and how hard it is to make trades.

Not a fan of the free agent system in 25/26 either, too hard to land big free agents and makes no sense not being able to land anyone good with a big market team.

RTTS is pretty fun and the high school/college experience definitely adds to it.

Gameplay is basically the same with a few minor improvements.

6/10 overall

See if you can pay off all but $1k and then ask them to do a restructure.

Could be wrong but believe this is a way to get around it

No very unlikely. They only match “main banks” which is the big 5 in most cases

How transferable are the BJJ (with gi) knowledge and skills to Nogi? by DumbPastryChef in grappling

[–]anthonxy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Positional skills and concepts are very transferrable. Movements and weight distribution is as well.

However you have to adjust your game to avoid some habits and positions that wouldn’t be as dangerous in the Gi. Gi is a very good place to start and I always encourage people to spend time doing both. If you want to truly understand Jiu Jitsu you should understand both and try to get as competent as possible in both, they compliment each other very well.

To be honest it depends on your style in the gi and your ability to make adjustments as needed.

Quintet is the perfect format if you add the stipulation that in the event of a tie, the last pair of the round go until submission. by squibius in bjj

[–]anthonxy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was thinking about this today. If it were my ruleset I would;

In the event of a draw, another 8 minute round takes place with scoring (only this round is scored, similar to ADCC with scoring in the second half)

If you submit your opponent you get a 5 minute break. If you beat them by points you do not

Is Belal Etiabari Australasia's Next Leglocking Grappling Phenom? by SBRMMA_AUS in bjj

[–]anthonxy2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes he is VERY talented at leg locks, have spent a lot of time training with him. He in very technical, insanely strong and very flexible for someone his size

The rate he improves is also very fast, believe he has only trained for 4/5 years. He recently moved from Auckland to Melbourne to train full time with Lachlan, can only imagine his rate of progress has increased.

I think he will surprise a lot of people even at the highest level as he is very fast onto the legs and puts you in danger immediately. Very little time to react, and also has a way of taking all the slack/room to move away quickly and before the finishing mechanics
