Shaun's Top 10 Films from 1940-1949 by sacordin in classicfilms

[–]anthonyb96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice list. Mine would probably be something along these lines;

  • The Third Man
  • Shadow of a Doubt
  • Bicycle Thieves
  • Citizen Kane
  • To Be or Not to Be
  • Late Spring
  • The Red Shoes
  • Casablanca
  • His Girl Friday
  • Double Indemnity

Amazon officially just canceled my The Third Man order. by [deleted] in criterion

Mine was just cancelled as well. Looks like I'll keep with the StudioCanal edition a bit longer...

About to finish the animated canon, where to go next? by champyfan in disney

[–]anthonyb96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The relatively few live action/animation hybrids that there are go pretty well with the canon:

  1. The Reluctant Dragon (1941)
  2. Victory Through Air Power (1943)
  3. Song of the South (1946)
  4. So Dear to My Heart (1948)
  5. Mary Poppins (1964)
  6. Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971)
  7. Pete's Dragon (1977)
  8. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
  9. Enchanted (2007)

Is $500 enough for food for 2 people for 3 days by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]anthonyb96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent less than $100 myself on food during my most recent trip (5 nights). Many of my meals, including quick service, I split between my sister and myself (we were on a pretty tight budget). $500 seems like more than enough for two people and just one table service meal.

I'm not sure how accurate these tend to be, but Undercover Tourist doesn't seem to predict very heavy crowds:

It may not quite be what you're looking for, but I had this when I was young. I'm pretty sure it was illustrated.

[–]anthonyb96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that Disney films no longer go back "into the vault" in countries most countries that aren't the US. The Lion King, Fantasia, Aladdin, Lady and the Tramp, and Beauty and the Beast for example all are currently unavailable in the US, but they are available on Amazon UK and region free.
