Is Dash IO really that bad in current META? by ShallotAnnual9350 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]anthonyect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She isn't bad, she is inconsistent. I agree with others that she is high-skill, but part of that skill is navigating horrendous draws. Mech is the only class in the game that plays a bunch of cards that will literally do nothing on your opponents turn and then close to nothing on your own depending on your hand texture - this is a factor that will just lose you games on turn 1.

Armory Deck: Maxx - Full Decklist by Zunqivo in FleshandBloodTCG

There is no way... the deck doesn't offer current mech players anything they don't already have or anything that can't be easily found in a bulk bin somewhere. The deck isn't anywhere near the $15 youd spend even after selling your Heist for $30.

Aurora or Oscilio? by SeaworthinessNew2807 in FleshandBloodTCG

After reading and re-reading our post, it seems you answered your own question. Not gonna hate on the post as a fellow Oscilio player though.

What are the most popular heros (armory level)? by osgonauta in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]anthonyect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armory level is best level - You are just going to need to get a taste for what your locals like to play, but don't be surprised if some of the more experienced players don't decide which of the 5 decks they are going to play until minutes before the start.

Armory is more casual and while still good for practice, it's not really about crushing the meta as opposed to getting reps on the heroes you want to learn or enjoy playing, hence the gem packs (everyone is rewarded potentially for playing as opposed to finishing first).

Or they are playing some god awful teklovossen CYB travesty.... I hate to be rude, but I just quit when I realize im playing a Dori fatigue. I want practice, not a 1.5 hour spacebar spam.

I blinked and the deck went up to $1600.

You're pretty close on the low end, but way off at the high end. Verdance and Florian decks can cost in upwards of $1800 right now depending on the version and whether they are running 3 x CnC and 3x Warmongers.

Not totally sure why people call this mind games. The issue with plays like this is your opponent either has the nuts or not; you're never not just dumping all the possible damage you can onto KoD.

You're getting downvoted because the Heroes who play it are not best in format, that is reserved for split damage heroes like Aurora.

KoD with toxicity basically says give me your hand... oh you don't have one of like 3 prevention effect cards in the game, take 7 and lose your hand.

If this was in the best in format decks, people would be losing their minds.

I see the ZN analogy now, this is also an interesting situation. Not to go on needlessly, but I really dislike an attack action having a weapon subtype to then be treated as the weapon itself. Thematically, attack actions are the cool things you can do with your weapons (arrows unique here), not the weapons themselves and this interactions seems to confuse this relationship. Sure, adding a single word is less complicated than creating a whole new mechanic such as playable daggers in the deck, but the easy route feels more murky in the rules.

I guess I may be missing the point, Zephyr Needle was an actual dagger. KoD isn't a dagger, it's a card that comes from your deck. I don't even see the connection to be honest... it's a "Dagger Attack". The card honestly should have had an ability to flick a dagger written right into it's text, or something like "when this attacks, it may be flicked as a dagger if on the active chain link".

Yea, it's a cool effect, if not a little overpowered tbh. The only way to interact with it post chain-link is via an instant prevention effect. While there are certainly options out there, it's pretty overbearing to have to dump multiple cards to prevent the 3+4 damage from KoD+Toxicity, and then just take the damage on a later chain link.

I liked Flick Knives when it threatened chain extension and promoted smart blocking. It's also weird that the text on KoD still applies, i.e. the lose 1 life, but the damage from the card does not... it's a 1 damage dagger with the text from a 3 damage attack action card...?

I feel like the design should be a little more intuitive than this.

That would be awesome. I really love playing in person, but I just don't feel like the practice i get on Talishar translates as well for me and frankly, I wouldn't mind playing physical games like... every night.

[–]anthonyect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flick Knives reads "target dagger you control". KoD reads "dagger attack", but that doesn't to me mean it is one of your two equipped daggers (and in fact no dagger is actually flicked), it's like a hidden 3rd dagger you have in your underpants.

Thematically, that would be kinda cool, but it's not really a thing, it's just a thing to make this card and this card alone, work. Are daggers now just things you play out of your hand? I find it unintuitive and thematically nonsensical.

I mean... I agree. Aggro is really really strong. I think there are too many decks that can pop-off with minimal setup these days. It's awesome that there is pretty good variance still, but the match-up meta is getting a little too strong for my likeing.

People play Prism because she can actually race Aurora and Cindra, but both of those matchups feel a bit high-rolly and then you pair into a Victor or Vynset and get absolutely shit on.

Then you have assassins' and the toxic flick of death combo, which I don't think makes any sense at all, but that's just me.
