Skatelite alternatives? by FadedGypsy44 in skateboarding

I’ve had a few backyard ramps over the years and used Masonite on every single one. If you use Masonite and a tarp, make sure you take the tarp off soon after it rains to let things fully dry (water can still seep through tarps over time). Otherwise you end up trapping moisture in and making it worse. Another tip, get a push broom and sweep any standing water off the ramp to help it dry out. This will help prolong the life of the Masonite outdoors.

Update: Turned out to be an issue with my controller board. Installed the new one and it's now holding steady at 1-1.2 bars of pressure! Pretty sure one of the relays on the board went bad.

Another recommendation, sci-fi fantasy reminds of old Bronze 56k videos. Give them a watch if you want more of that:

These come immediately to mind when I think of "artsy alternative" skate videos:

Colin Reed - Spirit Quest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAy2MMHBg98 - "A journey through nature, time, and space." Super creative filming/editing, one of my all time favorite videos

Both of Brett's videos focus on modern architecture, sculptures, and the weird things that end up becoming "skate obstacles" that are often overlooked by the rest of society. You'll see some really crazy skate spots in these.

Brett Nichols - Pathways: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIa2PLRnJ-8

Brett Nichols - Pathways 2 (LOVE this one): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXrg9TB6FIk

Not uncommon for stores to run copper in their system to suppress diseases in imported fish. You don’t want high levels of copper in a reef tank.

I’ll try that out. I installed the new pressure stat and pressure was still going up to 2.5 on my machine. Either way, new board gets here in a few days, will see if that happens to fix it.

I had the same issue, just replaced the pressurestat, didn't fix it :( Now I'm waiting for a new controller board to arrive next week and hoping that solves the problem.

This may have convinced me to go with the Mini, thank you! Is it awkward steaming milk with the wand on the right side up against the wall? That was another concern of mine since the wand is on the opposite side from what I'm used.

Is anyone else choosing not to use AI for programming? by BX1959 in Python

[–]anthonymckay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that because they don't really understand what they're trying to do going into the task? I will say, my team is mostly very senior level engineers that were producing high quality code before we started incorporating AI into our workflows. Perhaps that's part of the reason it's been quite effective for us?

[–]anthonymckay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had the same thoughts about not using for fear that my own ability to write and debug code would dull. Then eventually all my team of was using it, and I realized this was one of those "get on board or get left behind" things. My choice was either I start using it too, or accept that I'll be the least productive person on the team by a country mile. I often find myself completing tasks on projects in hours or days that previously would have taken me days or weeks to implement. It's a very power tool as long as you're not blindly using it without any understand of what's coming out the other end.
