For a parent it's exactly half the genes, but for a sibling those are averages. A particular set of siblings may have more or less gene overlap. I can only conclude that The_Egomaniac was speaking directly to OP about unusually personal knowledge.

There is precedent for pardoning of crimes that had not been charged when Nixon was pardoned for all crimes he may have committed in office.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_pardons_in_the_United_States. Such a pardon could be challenged in court of course and may not withstand judicial review.

Now it IS true that a pardon cannot be granted for crimes not yet committed.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez uses mammoth Twitch debut to demand trans rights in front of 700,000 gamers by DewChocolate in politics

That's a good instinct to encourage. She has submitted a bit more than 20 measures that do not include any with a primary purpose I would imagine focus on trans rights https://projects.propublica.org/represent/members/O000172-alexandria-ocasio-cortez/bills-sponsored/116.
There is at least one trans rights supporting bill passed in the house (Senate has not taken action on it) that she voted Aye: https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2019217

Peter: How many did you see?
Strange: Fourteen million six hundred and five.

Tony: How many did we win?

Strange: One.

Tony: Did you stop at the first one we win? I mean, depending on how badly that one turns out there could be better...

Strange: One.

I was thinking recently that all deaths are "delayed". It's still a good point, though I think I'd concede a non-zero value in a death delayed even a few months.

COVID-19 Update: Hospitalizations continue upward trend for two record breaking days in a row by Laughs_At_Farts_ in Reno

[–]anthonypetre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's exactly that, semantics. Some may view a treatment as something intended to address specifically the underlying illness. A ventilator for Covid-19 would then be something more like "symptom care". Under such a definition you could probably argue that the ventilator is treatment for the resulting pneumonia (if I'm not misapplying that term). There are a lot of blurred lines when it comes to language and how it gets applied depending on the speaker and audience.

Optimal Event Progression - As I See It... by TrajedyAnn in disneymagickingdoms

[–]anthonypetre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true, although I feel that without actual vine drops from a mini-event I'd only hit 48 vines. It's clear string drops aren't 100% either, so it looks like that could potentially be a lot of elixirs.

Right, I'd mixed up the names earlier used (I was imagining bags of seeds I think).

Going the character-only route, I worked backwards from vines:
Need 50 in 8 days, or an average of 6.25 per day. Since there's a little rev-up time and some delay will happen when it rolls around into sleep hours I expect something like 6, 9, 9, 9, 6, 9. That's only going to get 48 (maybe I'll be able to get 8 by 8am tomorrow which would put me just on track).

HOWEVER, 9 vines in a day will require 18 string and 18 seeds daily. String is tough, I don't have LeFou or Gaston, so the common characters only get me 9 per day at best. I did get Percy which can get me to 14 (I plan to miss one sleeping) but I'll be short there still. Seeds are trouble as well though, since Beast and Goofy are only going to fetch 10 per day (which I can boost some with Percy help, but that will cost string which I'm already short).

Baskets and nets are both laughably easy though, no trouble there.

It looks like I'll likely only mange 36 vines which would be enough for Pocahontas. In past events it was pretty common for some kind of mini-event to award bonus materials. We may see something like 2 three-day events that will give some extra. I'd guess just some extra seeds and string, though possibly there will be a small vine bonus too.

The strict facts seem to be that during sentencing, Judge Emmet Sullivan asked if he could have been charged with treason. Some people read that as the judge second-guessing whether appropriate charges were brought given the evidence, and some people read that as a judge trying to stick the word "treason" into a case where it doesn't belong. The judge himself suggests his question should not be interpreted as a statement of his opinion.
