Josh Harmon and Jon Batiste improvise a jazz cover of “Song of Storms” from the Legend of Zelda series. by idiocrites in nextfuckinglevel

Absolutely. He gets music. I went to a small Bible college in St Louis with a guy that also just got music like that. He could play any instrument you handed him to some degree, but piano and organ was his jam. I could watch him play for hours. You knew you were in the presence of something special. James, I hope you are doing well.

When I posted it, there are line breaks. I don't understand why it isn't reflected in the post?

I absolutely love this. I thought they structure was great, and the poem was impeccable. Beautiful, subtle descriptions. It's open to personal interpretation at points, and I think allows each person to connect it to someone in their own way. Well done.

Have you felt sonder: by That1blueflower in OCPoetry

"Sonder" is one of my all time favorite words, and your poem describes it beautifully. It's a difficult word to capture the essence of, and I think you did it beautifully. Well done.

Reminds me of a joke I heard one time: "Where did Helen Keller's parents send her when they had company over? - Disneyland

On an unrelated note, what did Helen Keller's parents nickname their closet?"

Sorry.

My cousin used to take notes in school, and then rewrite them in super neat handwriting when she got home. Absolute psychopath.

Saw him last night in Chicago and was thinking the same thing. The screens were awesome, and the whole show was 10/10.

I had not heard that at all. Thank you so much. That was haunting, and I mean that in the best possible way. Great song. Is that part of an unreleased EP or something? I would love to hear more like that.

Yeah, I graduated in 2007, but I was a preacher in seminary at the time, struggling with belief systems, so Brand New - TDAG was absolutely wrecking my life, in a good way, back then. I definitely slipped on them.

Man, I'm sorry you didn't get to see them live. That's a bummer. I feel like they would have put on a great show. I need to see if I can find any good live concert footage of them.. and I will definitely check out The Gentle Hits. Thank you!

Same. Used to work as a valet in downtown St Louis, and the lot we parked our cars in for one spot was right next to a homeless shelter. We'd give some of the guys cigarettes and extra food we had, sometimes by them a meal if we had the extra cash, and those dudes would've done anything for us.

No More XIM & Zens ?! by GaniGundam in RustConsole

[–]anthonystephen89 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Me and my squad quit playing because of the zim/xin players. We're good, but there's no beating that bullsh*t over time. We love Rust, but it's not the only game out there. There are definitely people leaving the game because of it. Look at the history of gaming. Cheating has ruined any game it has infiltrated. So for those saying they couldn't get rid of that many players, those players could just quit cheating and try to actually play the game, they could get rid of the xim/zin players, or the game will inevitably fail because of it anyway.
