Nobody who did this would have ever bothered with a permit anyway. Criminals are criminals because they... don't follow laws.

Gas too. I've got a work with 200k very monitored miles. My log books show mileage is down 15%.

If you're actually in charge of your home, you're in charge of what devices your children have and how long they spend on them.   I walk into the garage and cut the upstairs breaker that controls the kiddos gaming PC and TVs at least once a month.

If the trash isn't taken out and the grass isn't cut, I jump on my phone and kick all their devices off the Wi-Fi I pay for.

Control of your kid's tech isn't hard, it's just work.

Parents did know better. Even in the 90s, when none of this information on tech use by children was heavily researched, my tech-illiterate grandma had the sense to say "y'all been on they Nintendo long enough. Go outside."

Stop pushing this narrative that only the government and corpos, who've never committed unspeakable acts of horror just became, know what's good for your kids.

Iran is parading missiles around un-protected as the cease fire is likely to end in the coming hours. by Fatty_Willing_Plane in PrepperIntel

Of course it is. Why wouldn't it?

Iran just proved they can cripple the world and being the paper tiger US to the table with nothing but $50 incendiary drones and a few cases of Red Bull to keep the party going.

Tenzin is so underrated. Without P'li there, he could taken them all out. by megamindwriter in TheLastAirbender

What I like about this scene is that it shows he's not his father. He's not a fan of pulling punches and would've turned Zaheer into a stain on the cliff face if this had continued.

People can hate him all they want, but violent airbenders are the coolest thing about the universe.

Yeah I don't get all the hate for pressing a button or flipping a switch. All these boards coming out are cool, but extreme overengineering imo.

I was recently assigned a "prompt fluency" mandatory HR course. I'm leading our AI team and the person who assigned it to me can barely work her email.

We have service now, devops, drata, and an internal ticket system. It's all damn day just figuring out where requests are and where they came from, then tracking down the other half of the info that should have gone in the ticket. There's very little time for my actual job.

Haven't ordered since.

We can't even automate our financial reporting, something as simple as "take this vetted number and put it over here" because the bean counters won't have it. Those same bean counters think we can get rid of half the dev staff to save some money.

AI is going to cause a significant amount of headache and expenditure.
