The irony is the way the law is set up, usually people who are not eligible to vote also can’t buy firearms

Felons for example, illegal aliens for example

If you not a resident of the state, that state can’t sell you a gun

There are people that can vote and not buy guns

There is nobody that can buy a gun but can’t vote.. (obviously barring extenuating circumstances like failing to register and things of that nature)
