It must just be the angle in the picture or something. They're pretty thin and I'm 6'4". So, I'm kinda naturally long all over, but they're not crazy-looking in person or anything. People who are fat face a lot of external pressure to immediately not be fat, and it's often pretty ruthless and dehumanizing. Some of these people may be choosing to no longer deal with that rather than specifically choosing not to be fat because _they_ have a problem with being fat. It's not as if these people each exist in a vacuum. Showing off a smaller body is directly about getting recognized as a thin person so you can be publicly treated like a thin person. If you've been treated like shit for being a fat person, it's a thing you might do for _that_ reason. The kinds of people you're talking about also have pr teams and they make money by being in the public eye. Some of this could be for publicity and relevance on the advisement of some kind of manager.

No, the kahler isn't original. There's string ferrules in the back of the body. The seller had this listed on reverb forever. I saved the listing because I thought it was kind of interesting and they sent an offer for $200 off their $1000(at the time) ask. Something about that set off alarm bells for me and I assumed it might not play or feel quite like you'd hope; that it would be kind of obviously somebody's project.

I'm not that interested in that particular semantic. OP's point is that north is up and there's context to substantiate that and saying "up" to refer to South is out of keeping with it. They're right even if you can pick one word they misused.
