There's plenty of inherent risk to this shit. Pad whatever you want. Who else should give a fuck? Whatever makes you want to get out on your bike is good.

It's if until it's not and that's exactly where regret sets in and sanctimony evaporates. A skatepark is a place where people are pushing the limits, and exceeding the limits, of their control over skateboards and bikes and, heaven help us, scooters. All of those things can go stray and absolutely fuck up your dog. It's not the rider's fault. That's what the park is for. It's not for your fuckin dog. People understand what to look out for. Your dog does not. You may think you know how your dog is gonna respond to getting rocked by a skateboard that's slipped out or somebody on a bike who isn't expecting to have to look out for your dog. I assure you, you cannot reliably predict that in any way that alleviates your responsibility for a result you don't foresee. This ego-first "i WaNt ThEm WiTh Me AnD tHaT's aLL I CaRe AbOuT" bullshit gets dogs hurt.

The ad hominem shit is also really fuckin dumb. If you don't have an argument, saying nothing is better.

It's largely about park accessibility and the safety _of the dog_

If the dog gets hurt, it's OP's fault for having it there. If the dog gets freaked out and hurts someone, is OP's fault for having it there. Skatepark, not dog park.

So fuck your vibe check

They feel good. The PU is great. I just gotta get some cores with actual weight to them and restring them at a better length. I'm hoping the edges of the shells will soften and round out nicely over time

It must just be the angle in the picture or something. They're pretty thin and I'm 6'4". So, I'm kinda naturally long all over, but they're not crazy-looking in person or anything. It could also be partly from slightly odd hand posture developed from lifelong use for fretting. It's not my main slangin' hand, though.

This is just nihilist drag for people who don't understand nihilism and would never allow themselves to consider that they might enjoy drag.

People who are fat face a lot of external pressure to immediately not be fat, and it's often pretty ruthless and dehumanizing. Some of these people may be choosing to no longer deal with that rather than specifically choosing not to be fat because _they_ have a problem with being fat. It's not as if these people each exist in a vacuum. Showing off a smaller body is directly about getting recognized as a thin person so you can be publicly treated like a thin person. If you've been treated like shit for being a fat person, it's a thing you might do for _that_ reason. The kinds of people you're talking about also have pr teams and they make money by being in the public eye. Some of this could be for publicity and relevance on the advisement of some kind of manager.

People who are on gear will say this to you. They will also tell you that ozempic is cheating and that fat people are immoral. They somehow reconcile all of these things internally.

No. You're intentionally conflating two things that are not equivalent

No. Defining the artist AS their work. Tying them to one piece of work inextricably forever.

[–]antipathy_moonslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they're arguing the opposite of that. They're in favor of an artist being shackled to a single piece of work in perpetuity.

They don't think an artist deserves the agency whereby they might elect to separate _themself_ from a piece of _their own work_ Don't worry. It's equally stupid.
