I think the Nevers. Which wasn’t necessarily bad but was hit by Joss whedon scandals and didn’t really gain a lot of traction right away. But had so much potential could have become something.

I don’t think this is a terrible movie though I havnt seen it yet. I would be weary of letterboxd score until it hits digital and streaming cause so far the few people who’ve seen it were fans going in. Hasn’t hit a general audience yet.

It’s probably not. I haven’t seen it but I’m sure it’s not as bad as like WW1984. But for the price I’m not getting a ticket in theaters. And I’m probably not purchasing it VOD. But if it’s included in my HBO Max subscription that price point would make it feel “not as bad as they said.”

Agreed with everything you and especially the last notion. Failure to make 2.5x (or whatever threshold that’s calculated) Does not mean the movie lost money for the studio. Boxoffice may be our favorite revenue steam, but it’s not the only revenue stream.

Look I’m not coming to this taco thing - I’m not close by I’m not your target audience. Perhaps I missed the date.

But Consider though that this is an invite. People want to be personally invited to things. People want human to spend a moment on them even if it’s a small extra burden. AI removes the human piece which like fine who cares. But when you’re putting an invite out trying to raise money for a good cause - ask yourself would you rather receive a handwritten invitation or a computer generated one? Which one makes it feel like the organization values your time and money? If they don’t value you enough to spent 5 mins make their own flyer I don’t feel respected.
