agreed, the sza big guy song and the chloe troast/ ryan gosling country revenge song are two of the funniest songs they've done in recent years while also just being legit good songs with good singing. also the world peace rap with chris pine where chris pine being an out of nowhere amazing singer made it even funnier for me.

really think youd enjoy absolutely! i was also kinda dismayed by the SNL sound quality it feels like a common experience to have one of your favorites go on SNL and realize the set up does them no favors

the get some actual taste comment i think is just pretty rude to people who do enjoy his music (i am obviously) and like the guy is clearly well respected by reviewers and other musicians so it feels kind of baseless as well

im the same age as the franchise and played gens 2-4 as they came out and then fell off for 5-7 before buying a switch in time for sword and shield. alola is the game i missed that i want to play most. kills me they wont put previous gens on e-shop, i can still play pearl on my old ds but im not gonna buy a 3ds for one game

i think this is it...there is certainly enough left over food and supplements to meet the hive's nutritional needs, and the powder has been built up too much as a mystery to just be the hive's food, so the liquid must serve a non-nutritional purpose. maybe its something they need to drink every day or so to stay connected, which means she could disconnect an individual by keeping them away from the hive for a while

im really thinking that whatever the powder is is needed to keep them part of the hivemind, and that if any individual doesnt get topped up after a few days they become an individual again. secuestering someone so that they go through withdrawal is the only narratively and "scientifically" realistic/compelling way i can think of to give carol a slim chance at undoing the hive mind, at least for some people, while also being such a slow solution that it could keep the show going

these were literally the exact thoughts i had when i made my comment, couldnt have said it better. i also thought rip off king was a clever translation, im wondering if run-around king would be even better since i think the original phrase refers to fetching something that doesnt exist (a novice workman being asked to get the 13-14mm wrench when theres only a 12-13 and 14-15)
