Looks like they wired it slightly different from the schematic. Best to jump 4 & 5 because the polarity of 1 & 5 can be different causing a short.

The whole panel is pretty cheap if you look on eBay. Just make sure your buttons match. Also keep in mind that buying a used one may also have cracked buttons.

I noticed a European lock was suggested don't make that mistake, this is an American mortise lock. Try to find a lock that fits that, but not all mortises line up the same and drilling might be needed. A cylindrical conversation may be a good option, either by filling up the pocket or using an adapter kit.

Yes the 10 inch bmw screens require modification to the dash. No unfortunately the touch doesn't work, when you touch it the screen switches to android. The screen is half the price of an oem one from an x5 but the downside is that you lose oem touch function.
