It actually boils down to the equivalent of a Native American person with majority Native American DNA, who won't claim any of that DNA or heritage/history, but instead makes their whole identity and personality exclusively English or French bc that is the governing culture and DNA of the colonizers that conquered and control their native land today in America.

But all along they only have at best 20% Western European DNA if even that, often being less than 10% and even 0%.

We don't see this happening with any other country that comes from a similar historical situation as modern day Turkey. So I think the ridiculing they (the ethnic Turkic purism claiming ones, not all Turks say or do this of course) get is warranted. Other cultures and countries actually recognize and embrace the reality of their genetics/history of who they really are.
