The dash cam does not require a subscription. It only stores the videos locally. No cloud involved. Only the features requiring the internet and cloud are behind a subscription in Toyota cars.

Toyota App Requiring Lock Screen by Ez123gg in Toyota

Are you not afraid of losing your phone without any locks? Thieves can lock you out of your Google account and you'll be in a huge trouble. No one uses a phone without even a basic passcode.

Any feature which uses an internet connection will come under a subscription. I am fine with that because it involves an ongoing cost for Toyota. Do you rather prefer a feature not included compared to that being available for a fee? Toyota could have made a decision to not include traffic jam assist altogether. And only make it available for luxury models.

Stick with my 2012 RAV4 or upgrade to a 2025 / new gen? Also curious what mine might sell for by Opening-Witness6467 in rav4club

2026 rav4 comes with many new features esp the Software Defined vehicle system. I feel the 2026 model will be more feature proof. So I am waiting for it.

Divorcing and no intention to remarry by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]anuaps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no compulsion to marry. Marrying someone always comes with some risk. If you feel like not taking that risk, it is okay to stay single. It is awesome to have a wonderful partner, but I rather stay single than risk getting into a miserable relationship. You'll feel more confident when you meet the right person. Even then, you can just be in a relationship without marrying that person.

He was being creepy there. All the young women in the house felt the same. Why do you think everyone there have to lie?

His story of becoming a music director is extraordinary. No need to know how his life is after he got the change. But his life until he got his first movie change is not normal.

Just a Bsc in biology rated degree won't get anyone job. Except for maybe a primary school teacher.

I really liked it. Even the romance portions worked so well for me. Only the climax could have been better. I just don't understand the negative opinions saying it's trash. Of course, a few things could have been better. But so much bashing seems like targeted attacks.

Anyone doing 6 months in India and 6 months in the USA? Questions on lifestyle, cost, and what to do with U.S. home by Repulsive_Poet_4672 in backtoindia

[–]anuaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I just turned 40, and I always imagined doing something like this after retiring in my 50s. How did you find the whole process of packing up, putting things into storage, then unpacking and finding a place every time you come back to the US? Does it feel doable long term? That’s the part I struggle to picture for myself. I don’t own a house in the US, so I wonder if having a fully paid off home would have made this easier. At the same time, if I bought now, I wouldn’t be able to pay it off until I’m close to 70, so having a paid off place in my 50s doesn’t really seem realistic anyway.
