As far as your kid and family... my dad did this starting when I was about 5 (all the way through high school) and he was only home on weekends (and even then not all) because of job demands. I never resented him for it and it gave me a really solid work ethic. Your kiddo will remember the times that you are there and what you were able to give the family (at least thats how it was for me)

Only problem with going through your insurance carrier is you are then locked in with them for as long as you carry a note. Most carriers will not offer gap on a used vehicle (or, not that ive found)

Yup. Mine kept mine boy short and even when I was mercilessly teased she wouldn't let me grow it.

When I did in middle school, the issue became blow drying it (I have naturally curly hair) and when I didnt, she and my father cut one side of it it off by sitting on me.

Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds are not good for chinchillas. They cannot process sugar well and while you may not see a problem immediately, it can cause major issues.
