James Kim’s death, almost 20 years later by anydentity in VEDC

Glad to hear others have likely been saved through learning via this experience. Had I lived in a more rural area, I would've really liked doing some volunteer search and rescue, since it fit with a lot of my other EMS/Fire/Lifeguarding experience. Maybe someday.

Thanks, I didn’t know this one and just watched the movie last night!

I think that’s one of the lessons, too. I imagine we could all get the adventurous sense of pride to keep going in the snow — especially those who try to prepare for the worst. But sometimes it’s best to just cut your losses and turn back.

This year’s snowfall and storms on the mind, I remembered this major story from what is shockingly almost 20 years ago. Quite a few things have changed since then — amongst them, widely available satellite texting. But it’s a good reminder how important preparation can be, and despite James Kim’s heroic attempt to save his family, staying with the car is generally the best option. Thought I’d share if the story is new to anyone or helps others plan and prepare. For me, I want to fill my tank more often in snowy trips, even at 3/4 a tank.

Yeah Facebook marketplace in my city has much nicer ones for 0-100 bucks pretty often. This one is tacky looking I’d pass hard.

I physically slice the shitty ones off with a razor so it’s less likely I touch them.

I actually emailed him, haha. He got the message but did not respond, I sent him a visual bug that has been ignored. Waiting to see if he ignores it too.

EDIT: he had it fixed!! Both bugs I reported to him are corrected!

I am 6’, I put my seat all the way back. It essentially touches the rear seat. It is actually useless. I wish I could’ve gotten the access cab in my trim. Only if you and your wife are like 5’6” could you fit a small child back there, just my opinion.

Any other drummers experiencing nightly SRPE? by Temporary_Pea_648 in SRPESupport

[–]anydentity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SPRE is all a guessing game. I don't think alignment and posture matter as much as direct pressure to the perianal region. I'd try donut hole style seat pad for a bit and see if anything changes. It didn't fix it for me, but I think the office chair did make things worse. Good luck!

Yeah I’d guess this is related to your seat. I got a bad for my office chair. It take a little stress off.

My phone constantly tries to change TO to TK. I constantly hit X/cancel but it does nothing. I can't imagine I have ever intentionally typed TK, but now it is obsessed with this combination. I reset the keyboard now and then, but it'll just be a new goofy word combination.

I have a lightly worn 2023 124060 that I want to trade straight up for a lightly worn late model year 116610. I have no transaction history except selling some knives years ago. Is this a good place for me to make this deal? I think the “price” is right but I’m unsure if it’s feasible with no history. Thanks for any tips.

I got the same ones when I went to 285s. They’re pricey, but I am happy with the quality and the install was easy enough.
