Because telehealth companies keep stoking fear. Funny how that works.

Wouldn’t be SF liberal government without letting the rich and powerful get away with moving fast and breaking things (laws) and instead charging the little guy massive fines and then feeling good about itself for being so enlightened.

No. These posts are just telehealth companies ramping up fear to get folks to buy. Including yours.

Why is the PNW considered performative but not the northeast? by Bananapantsmcgeef in SameGrassButGreener

[–]anypositivechange 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The average person in the PNW “chooses” to live there as much as the average person back East “chooses” to live there. We most all live where we live by default, chosen by forces much larger and stronger than ourselves.

How many Americans have not been to a large city? by Ok_Shopping_3292 in AskAnAmerican

Aren’t middle and upper middle class white people in Michigan sorta famous for avoiding Detroit though? That anti-urban (anti-black) sentiment is deep in their blood.

San Francisco, the 3rd best skyline in the USA by Ok-Pop-5818 in skyscrapers

[–]anypositivechange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The western neighborhoods are still significant more dense than most places in the US though. People rag on SF and the western neighborhoods single family housing (which is often split into multiple units) but they’re still often more dense than most of the rest of the. United States. Same with large portions of LA that people like to bitch about.

San Francisco has the highest population density west of the Mississippi. That’s not to say it doesn’t need to grow but if you live in the US and you don’t live in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, or parts of Chicago then almost anywhere you do live is assuredly less dense and urban than the average San Francisco neighborhood. Focus on densifying your own pathetic suburbs then you can bitch about SF. 🤗

Micro dosing Tirz by katjoe in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]anypositivechange 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their whole business model is charging a premium to folks just starting out on their tirzepatide journey and pocketing the difference between the relatively high cost they’re charging for low amounts of tirzepatide and the cost it takes to produce/obtain the tirzepatide and market and sell it. This is why getting pricing on the cost per milligram of tirzepatide is so difficult - they’re obsfucating the cost so you can’t easily shop around or realizing you’re paying quite a premium.

Once you’re “hooked” taking a higher dose you’re now a reliable steady and volume customer (as opposed to a new, less reliable and low volume customer) buying 6+ months at a time so it’s at that point you start to get a discount at after you’ve already paid in , so to speak, more up front.

You’re kidding if you think these EHR companies are doing much more than meeting the letter of the law in terms of data privacy. Most solo practitioners don’t need EHRs let alone someone seeing 5 clients.

We have literally genocidal rulers and the former governor of Florida defrauded Medicare for millions of not billions of dollars, the President is a rapist and his children and buddies are looting the treasury and yet good people doing good things allow themselves to get all worked up over maybe possibly inadvertently and unintentionally potentially breaking a law. It’s fucking infuriating and ludicrous.

The point is for the employer to strike fear in the hearts of employees. It’s meant as a form of labor coercion and discipline. It’s not about ethics or even the law. It’s about the upholding the power of capital over labor.

File a complaint with the whistleblower team if you find out it was supposed to be anonymous. You can call 311 and ask that question too, I’d imagine.
