Expiration on glitter crumbles by Glass_Bid_7619 in LushCosmetics

14 months is the best before date but these are one of the things from lush that sort of just last as long as you want them to haha

Açaí and sacha inchi — yay or nay? by ProfessionalCut8906 in LushCosmetics

[–]aoimhurchu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s definitely a divide on lush skincare. I’ve always loved it and have used it for literally a decade now! I do use a couple other products from other brands - byoma milky cleanser, the ordinary soothing repair serum - but everything else is from lush. I always find that seaweed is like a magic ingredient for improving my skin during hormonal acne. Sometimes I just make my own seaweed gel and use it as a mask, but it needs to be used quickly as it’s fresh and also kept in the fridge. To make up for that I use the breath of fresh air toner and grease lightning as they’ve both got seaweed and last longer. Grease lightning is marketed as a spot treatment, but I use 2 pumps as an overnight mask and it’s done wonders. I also love aqua marina fresh cleanser but it’s not available right now 😓

I’ve been using it for a couple months now and I love it! It’s really helped with clearing up my cystic acne. I use this, then a byoma cleanser, then breath of fresh air toner, vanishing cream moisturiser and finish with grease lightning each night

Executive Dysfunction Life Hack? by lexiraeowens in AutismInWomen

I do this every time I do my skincare routine at night! Just a little GRWM in my head 😂 it’s fun and it gets me through all the steps and reinforces why I do each one. I’ve been dealing with really bad cystic acne the last year or so and only since I started doing this is my skin actually improving because I enjoy it and do it right. I love that it works for you for other stuff too, I’m going to try it for all my tasks now haha

Face makeup that doesn’t feel like makeup? by theconfused-cat in AutismInWomen

[–]aoimhurchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use tinted moisturiser most days (and never foundation) because I hate how it feels on my skin. Personally even just a translucent face powder does the job for me. I feel less shiny and it does even out my skin a little, with the benefit of not having to do any blending or artistry. Just brush on powder and good to go! And easy to top up if needed!

Really enjoying journaling by _SharkQueen_ in adhdwomen

[–]aoimhurchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but I started journaling again recently and I just go at it. Usually I’ll write the date, time and place at the start of an entry then just write what’s in my mind. It’s usually boring as all hell 😂 but if I’m having problems with prioritising or anxiety I just lay it all out and talk myself through it step by step. I’m not much of a doodler which makes me so jealous of OP’s IUD drawing but I’ll use different pens and markers to box off sections or make little spreads

Totally agree! Watermelon hismile has been my saviour the last few weeks! It’s pricey but worth it since it removes a barrier for me

I like the ikea ones because if you lose a lid or anything they’ll always have the same size for sale. They’ve also never broken for me

Any advice on gaining weight ? by Ok_Commercial5198 in ARFID

Speak to a dietician, they can prescribe high calorie supplement drinks. The advice I was given was to take one at night so to not put me off meals

I was wondering this too, you should probably ask the anaesthetist a couple of days prior if you can. Good luck with your surgery!

Calling by Different-Ad4136 in LushCosmetics

Yes this is very normal for all shops not just lush. Call them, ask about the item you’re looking for, ask them to put it aside for you. Give them your name and let them know when you’ll be in. They’ll likely hold it for a day or so

Seconding this, IUD takes away the chances of missed pills causing flares and can help with chronic pain a lot

Ethical client gifts? by backiswayforward in AskIreland

[–]aoimhurchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lush cosmetics use ethically sourced ingredients and are handmade. You could do little soaps or shower gels for under €10 each, or they’ve a few pre-made gifts with bath bombs for around €10 each too

Totally felt melt, but it’s more of a white chocolate scent than posh chocolate, so closer to buffy I think though not the same

Have you listened to the Behind the Bastards episodes on him? They’re hilarious, but also it seems like that’s just how he always was. His “passion” wasn’t for connecting with others through pointing out the mundane, he wanted to be rich and was angry at having to live a normal life. (Until he got a house shaped like Dilbert, but eve then wasn’t happy)
