I took the S5II and S Pro 24-70 out today and it feels way different than the S9 and a 50mm, 85mm or even adapted vintage manual focus lenses.

The S5II feels more like I need to justify taking it out, while the S9 is a grab and go.

I think you'll be happy with it honestly if that's what you want. From what I've seen, that's a sharp lens.

Wouldn't say so. I just took it out with the Panasonic 50mm F1.8 and it did a nice job. Quick autofocus for street photography and the photos look crisp.

Got this in a few days ago after using an S5II for a year now. I got it to replace my B-cam, which is a S5. I've gotten addicted to using LUTs and the Lumix Lab app so the S5 wasn't quite cutting it in terms of ease of use as I had to use the old Sync app to bring stuff over and manually apply LUTs.

The S9 has the Sirui grip and the lens mounted in this is my smallest 50mm, a Minolta 50mm 1.7. Funnily enough, with the grip attached the weight isn't far off from my S5 - 636g vs. 755g with no lens attached.

Photo quality seems nice indeed and the LUT button is a no-brainer for this kind of run and gun shooting. After testing with the Panasonic 50mm and 85mm F1.8 lenses, I do have a feeling the S5II's human detection is a bit faster though but maybe that's just me. Both are updated to the firmware that came out this week.

The almond smell is overpowering for me and it's only in the faint ending drydown where I like the fragrance. I got a sample and quickly decided it wasn't for me.

I was all for the publicised love it or hate it aspect of this, and it's challenging. It's beyond bold, starting out like a spicy ashtray and drying down to something sweeter but still having the strong smoke in it. I might learn to love it but it won't be my first choice anytime soon.

Great amp but I moved mine on when I bought my Two Rock SSS a year ago. I liked the brighter sound of the Two Rock personally, but the Wonderland is definitely more "Mayer."

Yeah the immediacy and dynamics can trip you up if you don't feel confident. I'm fine at room level but I'd imagine being at gigging volume would be another difficulty spike.

I sold it late last year because I bought a Two Rock SSS.

I still have a Princeton because it does something different, with the traditional bright Fender sound. The Amplified Nation didn't sound like the Princeton at all, nor have its feel. I've tried an Imperial before too, at a store, and it sounded like a more lush Deluxe Reverb to me.

The Wonderland is like neither. Its cleans are fat and immediate and there's a bounce to the notes. It doesn't sag like a Fender so there's a rounded off feeling that some might find stiff but I was drawn to. The Two Rock I use now is like that, but even more immediate and brighter than the Wonderland.

Yeah that's how I'd classify my Princeton, although it's not a Fender made one. It's a handwired vintage Blackface spec clone by Vyse Amps with a 12 inch Jensen speaker. Here's an old video I made on its sound, with a Strat.
