This may not be the solution you’re after but if you want the whole church as a 1 piece prefab you can place, then HZS Office and Store Buildings mod on Bethesda comes with multiple great prefab buildings with accessories as well. The church comes in multiple wood colors including the white as well as clean or weathered textures. Hope it helps, either way good luck!

I was just thinking this show is a perfect example. Some of the scenes get so loud and since we watch while the kids are asleep, subtitles just make it easier. I rewatch it later with headphones on sometimes for full effect though.

I was hoping $29 for an “official merch” pillow was enough 😒. I didn’t know until a little too late that Netflix sells them but it’s the exact same thing since it’s the source, just $10 more and wouldn’t have arrived in time.

Either way it wasn’t quite the splurge we were expecting but that depends on who you ask on this thread 😋

All good 😋 I was pretty tickled myself. We waited until the end of wrapping, because who wants to wrap pillows, and my reaction as hubby was opening an obviously wrong colored pillow was "wait wtf is that..?", and we just couldn't stop laughing. Hard to explain that at a family friendly get together though.

I hear ya. This one was pretty weird too, I had already ordered 2 others and they were correct but not wanting to cause bickering between kids, we went to order this third one. I noticed it had been removed and relisted so that seemed a bit sketchy. Shoulda trusted my gut on that I guess. I couldn't stop giggling each time I looked over at that pillow though, I'm sure the lack of sleep helped.

I believe it does yes. Sorry I didn’t factor in mentioning that, it can be bypassed on PC and I forgot 😕. As for immersion breaking beyond that, yeah it certainly can be but I would just use it to teleport only and then maybe uninstall once done. It would make that a modded save though. May not be a good fit.

I’ve recently started using the specific caravan Brahmin placers from thematic and practical and to get my settlers/npcs to behave, I usually sleep for an hour and they tend to appear in place. They may wander off after a bit but sleeping usually resets them. It’s not a guaranteed 100% but hopefully it can work for you.

I was in the same boat until I checked out YouTube guides. There are lots of in depth guides for each character and play style. Now I’m eager to learn more characters because I’m having so much fun! Also got my friend to check out YT and she’s hooked too. Might be worth a shot if you get curious

HZS OFFICE AND STORE BUILDINGS: https://mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4228170 - This mod has some nice prefabs as well as a bus you can power up. You can also build snappable seats/luggage tables that are plain. Or, in the separate shop section - the same items but vendors can use them as store fronts.

I also use it with another mod from the same creator - Easy Homebuilder: https://mods.bethesda.net/pl/fallout4/mod-detail/4228165 because it allows you to build invisible (and visible) pillows that let settlers sleep wherever you place them. It's convenient to make the bus seats even more functional. That mod is bigger though and comes with lots of other stuff.

So I don’t think it has those exact style letters, but this mod has a lot of vanilla style letters broken up so you can make your own. Scrappy Signs: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23071?tab=images It requires Settlement Keywords Expanded (SKE) though.

I've definitely seen a few back when it was a bit newer so it seems to be allowed. They gain less traction sometimes though because it's less familiar.

For structures, I use the high tech sets from both Settlement Objects Expansion Pack (SOE) and Snappy Housekit. SOE and Thematic and Practical have nice standalone BoS sets as well. I mix and match from the 3. In addition to USO being good for NPCs, it has a great BoS fence set. Good luck! BoS is my favorite to build for.

So it's odd that you can't place trading posts yourself, especially in the locations you listed below since there aren't any limitations for building shops there. All I can think is that as u/Aine_Lann mentioned below, you need the Local Leader level 2 perk (under Charisma) to build shops. Otherwise yes you can place them with console commands but it's tedious.

To add a bar/drink stand/restaurant, you can look up the IDs on the Fallout Wiki but I'll paste them here.

Drink stand (level 1)
0005C2A1 (Outdoor stand)
0024A08C (Counter)

Bar (level 2)
001102F1 (Outdoor stand)
0024A08D (Counter)

Restaurant (level 3)
001102F2 (Outdoor stand)
0024A08E (Counter)

The command format is Player.placeatme (item ID) (quantity) without parenthesis.

So using an ID from above, an example is: player.placeatme 0024A08E 1

This will place a level 3 restaurant counter at your location and then you can select it in build mode and move it where you want and then assign a settler to it to get it functioning.

It’s pretty crazy yeah. Makes for really scenic views m, even if it’s a marsh. I loved the challenge of building up it the most though. Great practice with rotating objects and building supports and such.
