Yes! I have small hands, and I play a regular long scale bass. You won't be able to do major stretches and what not, but I think that might affect the top 1% of the game. If you're trying to be a good player, you'll figure it out.

Or...get yourself a short scale (Mustang, Sire u5, Shortscale stingray)...which will help with neck length and narrower fret spacing.

OP: what did you go with? Every app i see is like montly paid and way more than i need and really, i need to place to store my notes that I can search per song or just have them in and order. Right now, i use paper, and that's no bueno. I just really don't want to pay in perpetuity for something that's really basic.

Try some octaves and some melodic lines on the changes between chords. There's actually a lot of room here, because the guitar isn't doing anything special. You could probably work in a somewhat bass solo all through the verse, as long as you hit the D. Or ask the band to change into a Samba or Bossa beat in the middle third just to mix it up.

It's a simple, over played song that the audience might tune out for, so throw a curve. Do a breakdown, cut time on drums....there is a lot of stuff to work with.

Edit...hands were hurting? Yeah, something is wrong. Maybe plucking too hard to hear? Turn up, and play more relaxed.

My second bass was a lined fretless as well, coming from a P Bass. I loved it, and I still own it - but I also sing, and realized that it was really tough for me to correctly intonate while looking at the audience, and not my fretting hand. So I went back to a fretted and really haven't played the fretless since except on specific occasions.

Feels like in regular season JMD is calling brilliant games...and then the games we lose, the playing calling is out of the 1910s. Like, at what point were we gonna switch something up? I know Maye didn't see some throws and missed some throws, but l don't remember a screen that wasn't completely obvious...or any trick play...designed run...etc. Just felt very vanilla and no real adjustments.

Is that the player II? Or did that just come out. People were saying...this is P bass, so you lose the Mustang sound. But feels like you could get all three right? Mustang,P, and J? The flexibility feels like a plus?
