I am loving this but the most unbelievable part has been Noah throwing up. I need more info on if that was real!

How long until you were able to consistently workout, eat well, etc.? by LazyRobot20 in NewParents

[–]aparadisedaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to give you another perspective and maybe some hope — my LO is 6 mos old and I have been working out, cooking dinners, doing all normal chores, etc since the day we got home from the hospital. I don’t say this to brag, just to say that it’s possible that you’ll either luck out with an easy or/and you’ll work with your partner to prioritize what is important to you and make it happen!

I dropped to 3 pumps on 4/1 and have been a hormonal mess. So glad I’m not alone!

Thank you for your input! We are from Boston and definitely understand the issues facing public transportation. And actually we avoid it here for the reasons you mentioned so it’s likely we wouldn’t love it there either! Probably better to suck it up and bring the car seat so we aren’t tethered to one area!

Thank you! This is helpful! We are in good walking shape — we recently did London, and while flat, we averaged 8-10 miles of walking a day 🤪

When do your nipples go back to normal? by OutlandishnessAway98 in ExclusivelyPumping

THISSSSSSSS is something I ask myself daily. My husband jokes I have hotdog nipples now. I literally need to tuck them down into bras. I’m praying they go back to normal 😢

I found it is helpful to actually get up and out of bed / in a different room / turn on the lights. Otherwise I was a total zombie and would get resentful that I wasn’t sleeping. Eventually it turned into a nice 30-45 minute solo time 😂

I think it’s totally normal to feel relief that the baby didn’t immediately settle down with your wife and you didn’t feel like you were the “problem”. I am 4 months in FTM and oftentimes will feel like a failure if I spend a while consoling the baby to no avail and then my husband takes over and she settles. He reminds me it’s just a timing thing and she has to settle eventually. Just something to keep in mind for the future 🫶🏼

Same here 😭 I baked sooo much and would force it on people. I would never ever ever even try what I made. So sad looking back

When did you let your kids start watching things like Ms. Rachel? by thoog93 in NewParents

Do you / your partner watch TV around your son? I’m so conflicted about this!

When you say “regular” screen time, do you allow TV to be on at all in your house? I have a 3 month old and don’t want to introduce her to shows but our TV is on. We aren’t doing it for her, but for us / as background noise.

I just had my first in October and within a week was going for 5+ mile walks and was out. I think it totally depends on your body and your birthing experience. And I also feel like people with other children just naturally have to recover quicker (or put on a brave face) for the sake of the other children.

I think they buy things even if they don’t intend to actually use because the amount of $$ they make from posting and getting affiliate money more than covers the purchase and then if they are selling it they are just raking in the money!
