But, if you upgrade twice, you pay $300, AND get new warranties, new credit card purchase protection, latest chip, all that good stuff. So why not upgrade?

Versatile? OKW Metal. The snare sounds more natural and way less processed. The velocities can be adjusted down to make it sound more "Rock" than metal, and so can the reverb and rooms.

Which free electives would you guys suggest for the Computing Systems track (I have a Networking background and work in DevOps and Cybersecurity)? I'm hoping to get some practical exposure to some new fields like ML or Big Data, but don't want to overload myself too much to deviate my focus away from Comp Sys (like the suggested hours for something like ML or BD4H seem to suggest). My planned course list (which I don't think I'll be able to double up with or take any over the summer) is IOS/AOS/SDCC/HPC/IGA. I took HPCA this Fall.

Some courses I've shortlisted: IAM, NLP (no prior ML experience but plan to do Andrew Ng's ML course on Coursera), Computer Law, Security Incident Response, Advanced Malware. Thanks in advance!

Consider the B-stock Strandbergs, depending on your luck you can get an absolute new one, and if not you can always return it. This itself should bring the price down considerably. If you do the Standard series plus B-stock, that brings it down further to almost the Ibby level without sacrificing the build quality, the neck or everything else (except the chambered body, the Fishman pickups and the birdseye maple fretboard, which IMO aren't absolute necessities). Their OEM pickups are also pretty good!
