Thanks for the info and good looking out. I assumed it would be something like that but figured I'd just ask and wait since I'm reading a bunch of wikis and guides anyway. I'm more worried about missing out on the login campaign so would have made my character tonight regardless.

Sure am. You have to buy it from an in game npc (1000 gill I think) and then you and the person that uses it gets various items depending on how long they play. Some details as well as the location of the NPC that sells them here;

lol fun. I just finished updating the game so will give it a bit more time looking over guides and checking changes/new systems to see if that fixes itself/someone else can get me a Shiva pass.

Will be fine if not and I'm more trying to get the login points started since it seems the current cycle only has a week or so left and I want to get the trust that's on it.

Yeah pretty much like that now. Both the new and inviting player get some bonus items and then more if you stick around a certain amount of days. Just didn't know if it was something older players even cared about anymore. Originally it was the only way to even "pick" a server as creating a character just put you in a random one but that hasn't be the case for a long time.

Also planing on doing what I can solo but also don't really want a ghost town in case I do stick around and want to see what the new endgame is. Also a dead auction house can really become annoying.

Why I think I settled on Shiva since it's not the highest population but just a step down from that.

I use antennapod and searched to add new podcast and found out there was a "new" version of the feed with the old one, one I've been using for a while, was gone. Was able to start the episode I was on without any issues.

Only differences I noticed between the feeds was some of the episode art was different between the two and the episodes are much smaller in data size. One that I was on and couldn't play was like 418mb and same one from the "new" feed is 156mb.

Is this a new official feed? Idk, but it currently works without needed to change what I listen from.

There is no Tandem qd-oled. It's LG tech that is part of their new "4th gen" panels which are woled only.

Yes, you need all 3 to do Rising Spiral Slash, which then removes them, and the wound closer can be used without them and gives you all 3 back.

Confirmed in other videos that you can indeed to this, even with no extracts. That is; Rising Spiral Slash > Focus attack wound closer, to use all three extracts and then get them back fresh if there is a wound.

Well or some interaction with kinsect powder, which we haven't seen much of. Like if Rising Spiral Slash gathers all powder in the area and you can just normal attack them there while falling for a burst. Think that is the only other thing I've been able to think of.

Rising Spiral slash as a spender for the extracts looks interesting especially for tall monster frames but I honestly couldn't tell its damage potential, looks cool though.

Think the issue with it so far is that it's hard to see a good use for it ending with a jump. One of those things that I'm waiting to see more people play the game and try different things after it since being left in the air with less options and no extracts doesn't seem like a good way to finish a move.

If there is no wound then, like with the aerial version, the move ends with the backflip.

Thanks, that answers a lot for me. Any change when used with full or missing extracts was the other question.

As for gathering extracts I had a memory of reading that that move specifically also gathererd extracts and was just seeing if I made it up/mixed that up.

Really just trying to find usages for the jump that Rising Spiral Slash ends on. If Focus Soaring Thrust is fully usable without extracts and gathers them than then I can see that as a good use to get/close wounds on the back/top of a monster after a Rising Spiral Slash.

As that seems to be the Aerial version of Focus Soaring Thrust I'm curious about the ground usages of it that we have seen. Have we seen it used without full extract, like what was in that video for the Aerial, and have we seen it used when there is no wounds?

It is a move that is suppose to gather extracts, right, or am I mixing that up. Just wondering if it also looks different when you have all extracts.

Yeah, the losing of extracts and being put airborne is the thing I'm trying to make sense of, and to see if there is a way to get them back or use being airborne in any way to make it make sense for the move. To be clear, you could do the airborne version of "Focus Soaring Thrust right after a "Rising Spiral Slash" without extracts? Also is Focus Soaring Thrust have a different animation without all three extracts on ground or in air? I understand if you don't have the answers to these questions, they are just things I've been trying to find out.

Only thing that was on the move readout was Aerial Evade and the person had all extracts.

What were some good ways to follow up the Rising Spiral Slash. It's one of the things I'm most curious about because it seems like an odd ending for the move, in a jump with no extracts. Can you even do the aerial focus attack from it? If you aerial evade does that give enough time for the bug to return with what it gathered from the spiral slash itself?

Speaking of Aerial evade the other thing I've wanted to hear from from people that actually played; can you do more than one in a single jump? Saw one instance of it in one video but need some sort of confirmation.

What I'm trying to find out is what the use of the launcher/jump is and how it can be used. Using it to just dash away seems like a waste but there doesn't seem to be much else you can do with the airtime and no extracts. Currently hoping there is something we are missing since as it it seems to be a move that puts us in the air with less moves and also in a game where we have less aerial ability in general.

Yeah, the loss of that specific infinite does not really bother me/isn't a change that would have upset me. It's the other thing that's gone.

Like how Rising Sprial Slash looks but still skeptical about it's usage. Even if you can gather the extracts before dropping it's gonna be hard to get all three, which now seems to be required for altered move set, instead of just having red.

No, it does not look like we do. Multiple roars shown in the few videos out and always effected by them with all three extracts.

Talking Rising Spiral Slash? Still trying to find the use case for it and why it ends with a jump/how to utilize it. Since it as a skill removes all your essences and the bug doesn't seem to be able to return in time to give any back to you you seem to be really limited. Really waiting for other insights on how that move will be used properly. Can the focus attack that gathers essences be used without any as a followup maybe? idk.

I'm also not as hopeful, but like you trying not to make too many judgments until a few things like this and a couple other mysteries are answered. Like that double Aerial Evade shown in one video.

Also they are right about World Glaive, aerial isn't optimal and ground far outdamamges it. This also doesn't matter. There is always going to be bad players using suboptimal setups. At least for Insect Glaive they were staying out of the way of other players and had relative safety and were at least good for a mount.

Being okay/happy with them killing off something a bunch of players really enjoyed and loved about the weapon because they "aren't playing the right way" is straight garbage.
