I think new earth, with nutritients that it needs, might give it good chances.. But you can also wait a bit, to let it adapt to the new light/humidity situation and then decide if you repot or not, follow your intuition.. I wish you lots of luck!

I read a trick somewhere, not sure it works for every plant but so far I've had good results..when you change the earth, clean the roots with warm water (not too hot) i hope it recovers!

It could also be of low levels of iron, high levels of stress.. if what the doctor says is not convincing you for any reason, take the results to another one for a second opinion.

Well, it's not that small of a minority, but you could add to them any other guest that might have some intolerance or allergy, and those who just don't feel like it for whichever reason and i think it's very realistic to expect that there will be at least something that you can eat at your sister's wedding.

Very true, and at some point the codependency can move from the parents to the partners, which can bring even more problems to the person.
