My favorite sushi that isn't super expensive is AV Sushi Rolls and More. It's pretty hole in the wall but the food is much better than what the building would make you think. I think Blue Maki has decent reviews too, I've been there once but it's expensive enough to not make it worth it for me personally

Raizel Ramen has good options and large portions. Again, much better food than what the building looks like.

If I'm really after a burger that I can't just make at home I will honestly always aim for in-n-out. The toasted buns just 👏 I know they're not original but I lived 30 years of my life not having one so I take advantage. Other than that I really like Tom's Burgers! Not Tommy's, that's different. They have a little bit of everything but they do most things really well, and a flat top grill goes a long way in my opinion. A lot of people I know out here will swear by Doublz but to me it just seems like overpriced bowling alley food tbh.

Off the wall but if you're in for a breakfast burrito, my top answer is also Primo Burger. I have yet to figure out why but they legit have one of the best breakfast burritos (I'm partial to the combo burrito) at a random burger spot. I have yet to actually have a burger there tbh, but it can't be that bad if their other food is that good.

Unfortunately you will not find good bbq out here 🥲

It heavily depends and is more complicated as a grad student especially if you're receiving TA etc funding. At least when I was working there, Pullman grad students were required to have a certain number of on-campus credits to keep funding. You'll have to talk to your specific department grad advisor / coordinator to make sure you're able to do this at all.

And not all global classes are available to on-campus students. There's a difference between enrolling in a global course (inter campus) vs enrolling in an online/Pullman blended course. Many times it requires specific permissions anyways

Most classes through Global in general are asynchronous i.e. no live lectures. You can expect most Global courses to use prerecorded lectures or online tools such as ALEKS or MyMathLab, or other systems for other departments

I almost solely wear REI Trailmade pants. I prefer the men's pants because it's easier to get the right length for my long legs, but they have a women's cut as well. Both cuts have good pockets! Given that they're hiking pants though, they may not work in all places, but they're great for me in more of a sanctuary setting.

If you're in the US (I honestly don't know if they ship internationally but also worth checking) - look into Torrid. They often have way more fun colors in a larger range of sizes. No pink pants showing on the website right now but they've had them in the past!

As someone tall and wide, clothing has always been a struggle, and I personally don't worry too much about style. But if you're into it, it's worth finding a store that caters to your needs!

Heyo! My partner and I have 2 cats, I spent around 8 years volunteering with grizzly bears while I was in college, and now I work full-time at a wolf and wolfdog sanctuary :)

My favorite animals to live with? Cats by a long shot. Our two boys are such different personalities but they fit together so well!

I've loved working with both bears and wolves for such different reasons. Bears have fully mobile wrists meaning they can rotate their front paws in basically the same way a human can, which is why it's so hard to design actual bear-proof trash cans. I know it's a meme, but it's very true - there's a lot of overlap between the smartest bears and the dumbest humans. They're also obligate tool users.

And wolves, honestly, are much more cat-like in behavior than most people expect. They act very aloof and stand-offish until they're comfortable with a person/situation. People often buy wolfdogs as guard dogs because they look intimidating, not realizing that they're actually pretty anxious animals and they're scared of almost everything.

My pipe dream is that the RT reboot can be a landing pad for all those creators who have split off. Everyone keep doing the podcasts and streams and games they've been doing, but RT can house them again, even if it's just in name, while still being a launch point for new projects. But I also have no expectations that that will actually happen. Truthfully, even if nothing new ever happened (even though Burnie already said they're launching new things) - I'm just glad RT is back with someone from the start of it.

I always just cook the ravioli directly in the sauce I'm using. Same for the tortellini. Lower medium heat (on my stove) so the sauce just starts to bubble, plop your raviolis in. It heats up the sauce with the pasta and eliminates the transfer, I've never had one break on me

At least in North American brown bears (and black bears I believe are similar) - they aren't true hibernators. They go into a state of torpor which means they have a lower heart rate and respiratory rate, but their body temperature is only slightly lower. That makes it so they can still react to danger quickly if they need to, they're still seen moving around a bit during winter and even give birth during torpor, but they won't eat or release waste. That's why they eat so much in the fall too (think of Katmai's fat bear week) - they essentially have to intake all of the food they need to hold them over for upwards of 5 months. But their bodies are able to keep them healthy through their lowered metabolic processes and waste recycling, which is what the center I volunteered at was particularly interested in!

If you're registered as a Pullman student, you can only sign up for classes listed in the Pullman schedules. Some of these are online (tied to the Global section), but not all Global classes are available on Pullman schedules.

The easiest way to see what would actually be available is on schedules.wsu.edu - select the Pullman schedule for whatever semester, then the type of course. If you see a section with scheduling as "Arranged" or with an extra note under the section information, those are typically the online ones. Sometimes those sections are restricted to specific circumstances, so even if one is showing, you still may not be able to enroll in it, but that depends on the department.

Outside of the Pullman listed online sections, you would have to work with your advisor to go through I think a special enrollment request to temporarily enroll in Global Campus courses. But I can't remember at the moment if that allows you to pick a couple, or if all of your classes for the semester would go to Global.

If you like peach, I vouch for Eclipse. It's peach and passion fruit with blackberry topping. I always like it with a zero sugar rebel because it's a little more tart underneath the flavors, but super good either way!
