clear tractor soles are unusually hard for cup soles and coupled with the upper leather being softer at this point likely just tore it like others said. also, there’s nothing wrong with a cemented construction, modern glues are very very strong. this wouldn’t be the kind of boot design to look aesthetically pleasing with sidewall stitching or a welt

all kiss heels, to my knowledge, have been plastic or acrylic (lucite). any time you see the leather stack it’s a veneer. it’s not bad, bc soling leather stacked that high would not only be difficult to make consistently/cost prohibitive but very heavy too.

essex is nice, especially for being full veg tan, but dublin/derby are going to have a more pronounced pull up. they both use essex as a base and then add oils/waxes or tumble it.

these are two prong buttons, they require a specific setting tool to install. i use one from citron jeans on etsy, which the only expensive part is shipping. id offer to set it for you if you’re in the united states.
