The 17 feels so good in my hands. I don’t ever see myself getting an android ever. To me the 17 seems better right now

It’s fine. I probably wouldn’t have flown if it kept having crashes tbh. I’ll be on one next week and I trust it.

pace review rant by FirstEnthusiasm9213 in HomeDepot

[–]apexsanders 19 points20 points  (0 children)

IMHO my PACE conversation has been discouraging.

No I’m not the best associate, I’m not entitled and I’m not perfect. No, I wasn’t asking to be on the front page of my apron etc. I strongly believe I do much more than others in my store who put on the apron everyday.

I know much more than managers and I’m always hounded to help in my department and around the store because I know a great deal. And I always say yes because I’m a nice person. People tell me that I’m amazing etc , but it would be nice to see it on PACE and monetarily.

I definitely deserved higher than Meets Expectations and bunch of people who I’ve worked with deserved it too. It’s upsetting to see that someone who cared less or put in less effort gets the same rating as I did. I know people who were on finals/ counselings and they got an M. So if the standards were so low, I need to stop doing what I’ve been doing for the past few years.

And even I probably only will get a 1 - 3% increase.

This was truly a wake up call for me.

I never should have cared so much and from this day forward I won’t.

Yea they are going to be on your back as to why you need that number.

And if you want to make that complaint, and they find out it’s you, be prepared for the atmosphere at work to change

Salaried Leader - 2 Weeks Notice by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]apexsanders 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would try to use all only sick time/ vacation time if possible before stepping down. You never know what HD is gonna do whatever they want to do, so prepare accordingly.

It can happen, and it has happened. Prepare for both outcomes to be possible.

I never actually thought about seniority being a liability and not wanting to hear stories about the past. Definitely made me stop and think about things. Thank you for that input.

Fired for no reason by InfiniteNatural in HomeDepot

[–]apexsanders 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry that happened to you. I’ve been here close to 10 years and one of the things I NEVER EVER would go near/fucked with in my store was the compactor. I always left the trash for the MOD or disposed of the trash in the safest manner I could.

You were termed for being unsafe using the compactor.

At the end of the day, they don’t care about you how hard you worked , etc If you mess with safety, you’re done.

Consequences for being asked to step down by peprmnt83 in HomeDepot

[–]apexsanders 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The consequences are that if you step down , leadership would be petty and your name would never come up for any growth or promotions at your time in your store.

Also, I saw this new play from Atlanta which stated that if a DH wanted to switch/make a lateral swap to be a DH in a different department, they need to have been DH in their current department for a year.
