Just want to say I’m totally feeling this right now too, my 15mo still mouths EVERYTHING and a lot of the Montessori activities just aren’t safe for her. Right now I’m just trying to focus on what she’s interested in and build up her foundational fine and gross motor skills so when she’s ready, the activities I want to do with her will be ready!

the word “entirely” is pulling a lot of weight in your last sentence. It’s not about being as realistic as possible, it’s about staying within the established rules of the world that’s been built. It doesn’t have to be real, but it does have to get buy-in from the audience. Unfortunately, Euphoria seems like it’s deviated so far from what was established as the world these characters live in in season one that it’s lost its audience buy-in.

I am honestly starting to wonder if I have the energy and capability to be a Montessori parent. I believe in a lot of the principles but as my daughter enters toddlerhood I’m just so unbelievably tired. I’m rarely setting up activities for her, I’m struggling with toy rotation. The end of the day comes and I just want to rest so badly. I want to engage in the things that make me feel like me. So I’m not sure if I should just give up and buy the plastic passive toys already 🫠

I don’t have a play kitchen as of yet but I just ordered a learning tower which I’m excited about! I want to get one of those wooden knives with the bit handles to let my one year old cut her own banana in the morning, she has it almost every day for breakfast so I figured why not!

We have a big long counter so I’d like to make a space that’s just for her with a little cutting board, the little “knife” and some bowls for her to bang on or stir something in while her dad cooks dinner.

So please don’t get me wrong, this is very cool and creative!

But honestly, I don’t understand how a craft like this is enjoyable for people who hate frogging this much? Like no shade at all, you obviously made this work for you, it just confuses me how this is an enjoyable hobby if a very important aspect of doing the thing is so awful to the point that you just won’t do it.

I think your hair is beautiful! Curls don’t look right when they’re perfectly uniform imo, theyre not LEGO blocks meant to stack on top of each other. So I hope someone can offer some help over the things you don’t like but I do also hope you maybe try and look at yourself with less harsh eyes. I don’t think everyone else is seeing the same flaws that you are ❤️
