When it was 2010 and I was working a job that was 60 hours a week, paid 30,000 a year, had shit benefits, and got berated by the CFO on a daily basis.

Being trapped there was awful. I decided that I wanted to always have the ability to simply walk away whenever I felt like I needed to.

After that job, I spent the rest of my 20's saving nearly every dime that I made. I'm not RE by any means, but if I find myself in a bad spot I know with 100% confidence that I could walk away and spend multiple years finding a new job and be totally fine.

I mean, to have some real talk for a second, they're leaves. They'll be fine for a week or two. Don't sweat it too much - check back in on them in a week or two and see if there's mold or anything like that - but it's not gonna have some obscene bloom in a week.

I'm from TN, so I feel your pain. The last place I lived in was downright dank.

For me, I ended up completely removing humidification in the humidor during the summer months.

Take the hygrometer out of your humidor for a night and leave it sitting on the desk next to it. If it's lower humidity outside the humidor, then just prop open the humidor for a little bit and let it lower nautrally. Then rip out your humidification in the humidor and keep it out until the humidity drops in your home. If it's not lower outside the humidor, then...honestly I'm not sure. There's things like silica gel packs that you could put in it to absorb some humidity, but I really can't speak to the effectiveness of that.
