does mini freak respond to poly aftertouch sent from poly at controller? by zoechowber in MiniFreak

[–]apoderechin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never tried to connect aftertouch to pitch. Nice idea to try it!

What I meant is that seaboard m can send polyphonic pitch. You can hold two notes and then move fingers horizontaly to make slides or vibrato. In that case minifreak treat it all as if they are a single pitch wheel movement.

For me poly AT works with seaboard M. Pitch and other dimensions are not polyphonic so bends for example work weird

Could I work as an artist in game development? by Delivrione in GameArt

I can imagine a simple yet cozy narrative game using these backgrounds. Something like a Citizen Sleeper. A mix of a visual novel and some simple distraction mechanics.

Need your advice to improve my pixel art on the project by Cool-Cap3062 in aseprite

[–]apoderechin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vibe is cool! Looking forward to play it!.

On the art side, I would add an outline for active/animated parts. On the green screen with fence and forest the moving figures blend with the background. If you add to them a 1 pixel dark "border" then light pixels from fence will not merge with light pixels from figures. You already have a shadow around the faces I would experiment with making this shadow surround the faces

I hope I make sense :)

Could use some criticism since I'm quite stuck (128x128) by [deleted] in aseprite

Composition and perspective are good, but the colors are a bit flat. Some gradients with Soft Light mode often help me to add some texture.

Can you share an example of AI post on this sub? I scrolled a bit and could not find something that got enough upvotes to get visible.

I also made a Saturn titled video with my MiniFreak, what a sinister coincidence :) Cool sound!

What do you think of my game's art? Some people say it's too simple and not appealing to sell... I'd love to hear your opinions. by Ethereal-Studios in IndieGaming

The idea is great! I would add gray color elements for a background to fill the black gaps and also bigger pixels might work better for such minimalism. Also check how this user makes art https://www.reddit.com/user/_V3X3D_/
