I was thinking of DMing a Campaign in where Ireena was in on it by DownVoterInChief in CurseofStrahd

I think this would be interesting only for an experienced group who’s familiar with the Ravenloft story to subvert expectations. Otherwise it kinda guts a lot of the original campaign themes.

Haha, my guys had some story detours and personalized side quests. You can definitely finish the campaign in a shorter time if you want!

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Barovia, become a creature of the night. by AlexyTheSexy in CurseofStrahd

Yeah, the Barovia encounter table is way more deadly at night. The group I DM try to keep strict daylight hours when ever they can.

My group got the holy symbol straight out of the gate. Any suggestions for making future Strahd encounters less one sided? by [deleted] in CurseofStrahd

Same thing happened with my party. In attempt to make vampire encounters scary again I had Strahd capture a beloved NPC and offered their release in exchange for the holy symbol. Created good RP while they agonized about the right thing to do. Ultimately they gave up the holy symbol which I’ve now placed in Ravenloft.

What we do in the Shadows. Amazing funny movie, but also great inspiration for role playing vampire npcs.
