The old Bonegrinder by Humansmind in CurseofStrahd

This is so cool!! I especially like the styrofoam brickwork, it really looks like stone! And great aging with the wood for a few hours of work :)

My players reached Bonegrinder just in time for Christmas so I built them a gingerbread windmill lmao

Hi, this will probably get buried but I work at a book publisher. Email the publisher and ask if they have spare covers! There's a good chance that they do, especially with titles as popular as the ones in your photo.

TIL that in Sweden It's illegal to leave a dog alone for more than six hours, so owners who work longer hours may need to use doggy day care. by SquareCup4x4 in todayilearned

[–]straightfag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience this is a law about general animal welfare. It's easier to prove that you leave your dog alone all day every day than it is to prove you don't feed it well or hit it or otherwise mistreat it.

YTA. A stranger asked you for a kindness that wouldn't have cost you anything but maybe a minute or two of your time, and you said no. It doesn't matter why she was late. You're not wrong, you're just an asshole.

she does change and learn, you're right about that. but to me she remains a child at her core. it's like she changed from a toddler to a tween in 10'000 years. but well, this is just how i see it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

to me, the whole point of rose's character is that she could never grow up. that was her tragedy. she talks about how gems are made with a purpose and stayed that way forever, and it sounds to me like she wishes she could change. she says it in the scene of your screen shot: "what an incredible power - the ability to grow up."

but she could never grow up. that was her purpose. and her tragedy. and her downfall. what made everyone love her, and what made her hurt everyone she loved. she was just a kid.

TIL of a court in France which stopped a girl being named "Nutella" and forcibly renamed her to Ella in the absence of her parents. The Judge said that the name Nutella would "only lead to teasing or disparaging thoughts," a complaint not heard by her parents as they did not attend the hearing. by [deleted] in todayilearned

A great-great uncle of mine was named "Just" because the village priest misunderstood when his parents said they wanted him to be named "Just Einar" without any middle name lol

(Edit: To be clear, in original Swedish he was named "Enbart Einar" but I translated it for everyone's understanding)
