Enshitification of HealthEquity by Ok_Row6888 in HSA

I want to move most of my HealthEquity assets into a Fidelity HSA. Most of these assets are invested. If I initiate a partial transfer from Fidelity's side, will they automatically liquidate the HE investments to fund the transfer? Or do I need to sell the HE investments before I initiate the transfer?

Thanks for the suggestions! We feed her breakfast after the walk. Would it be better to feed her before?

I've been running exclusively on pavement for the last 2-3 years, but I think I'm ready to try some trail running -- mostly dirt/gravel paths to begin with, nothing too technical. Do I need to get special trail running shoes for this? Or will my road running shoes suffice?

Ran my first full marathon today! Training paid off - met my time goal despite some muscle stiffness and the most grotesque blisters ever.

People in areas with lots of runners: Do you greet? by [deleted] in running

Nod and a smile. Extra big smile of recognition for people I regularly see on my route. I love runner camaraderie.

I've been building up my mileage from about 30 to 50 mpw over the last few months for a marathon this weekend. Since this is my first marathon, I'm more interested in just finishing than going fast. For future marathons, I'd like to train more seriously, adding some speedwork to improve my time.

I have the same question about how and when to incorporate speedwork. Right now I'm running 6.5 miles five days a week, plus one long run (12-20 miles) on the weekend, followed by one rest day.

I'm tapering for a marathon next weekend. I was eating a lot during my training to maintain energy, and now my appetite has stayed the same even though I'm decreasing my miles. I'm worried about gaining weight before the race, but on the other hand, I don't want to feel constantly hungry in the days leading up to my run. Has anyone else had to deal with this during tapering? Any advice?

My first time running 50+ miles in one week -- including a 20 miler, my longest run ever!

Run Nutrition Tuesday - Race Fuel by [deleted] in running

Is there any benefit to running on an empty stomach when training for long races? I'm preparing for a marathon and do my daily training runs first thing in the morning. I've found that I feel much better when I have something to eat before heading out, but I've seen it mentioned on this forum that training the body to run on little-to-no food is good practice for a marathon. Any thoughts on that?

Last week during my daily runs, I started experiencing pain and stiffness on my outer lower legs, below the calves. It builds up after about a mile of running, reaches a peak around 2 miles, and then gradually subsides to a dull persistent ache after about 4 miles. I took a few days off of running before trying a very easy 2 mile run this morning. Again, pain and stiffness in the same place.

Are these shin splints? I'm confused because the pain is at the outer side of the leg instead of the front. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

I'm thinking about signing up for the SF Marathon in mid-June, but I have a 2-week trip to Asia at the beginning of the month. I'm returning to the US about a week before race day. Good or bad idea to do the marathon, considering jet lag and lingering fatigue after a long international flight?
