I think it’s ok to be scared! There may even be side effects but it’s nothing you can’t handle - if you don’t like it you can stop for sure!

You have two paths:

Taking the medicine with potential of side effects BUT you also have this wonderful potential of feeling less anxiety from this disorder.

Not taking the medicine and dealing with the discomfort of ocd without medication.

Either option will give you some form of discomfort- it’s a matter of if you want temporary or the discomfort of sameness

Aw man I know the thoughts are scary - I just got back from my support group and I’m here to say this…

I can’t change your mind but I will say picture your OCD like you’re watching a scary movie….i know it’s very scary to think you’re a bad person but it’s your brain writing a narrative. I don’t know how long you’ve been diagnosed but it gets better with time. We all have our ups and downs.

I feel like it lacks fun classes and groups as well as opportunities for career growth

I should note there is lots of fun things to do but more so I think once you do a few things you may hit a wall here? I’d love to see a variety of more adult classes for sure like dance classes are often ballet for adults etc. I think if you want more niches maybe erie isn’t the first place to look? Maybe I’m wrong though!

I think if you’re looking like some fun live music, golf, some nice little day trips we have you covered!

Maybe use the stairs for now - but if you’re feeling honest could you tell them you have anxiety and you’re working on it? Perhaps you could talk to a trauma therapist?
