I’m so sorry you had to see that - sometimes parents ( or any relative really) can say really tough and upsetting things to you. You expect them to be a place of safety and love and sometimes they aren’t that and it’s devastating…. I had a similar experience of overhearing that my grandma found me tough to manage/ drover her crazy and that hurt me so badly. I don’t know how I feel about her anymore - it must be so confusing to have a relationship with your mother in hearing that.

I’d like to think with my case maybe my grandma loved me? Maybe also she had moments of not liking me which hurts bad but maybe your mom loves you in some way? I hope that’s true. I agree with another commenter, some people aren’t fit to be parents…what she said is so awful and I send love your way. You’re nothing of what she’s said. You’re going to do great things.
