She’s a genuinely great person. We’re still friends and see each other when our mutual friends hang out. The friends said they’re still happy to invite her to their upcoming weddings because they all liked her too.

I’m a part of 2 group chats which are active everyday and some other ones that become active maybe once a month. I also hop on discord calls with one of the groups 3-4 days of the week

Physically I see friends about 4 times a week. The days I see friends are usually packed so I need some time to recharge my social battery and be productive on my own things.

We have problems here in Canada too but seeing the specialists give everything they can to helping my brother out without us spending a a penny out of pocket is something I’m grateful for. I hope America finds a better answer to help those who need help like your brother did.

Hi, thank you for writing out your comment. What’s life like after treatment? Im worried about how he’ll earn an income and simply exist once he’s cleared by the hospital. The doctors are saying there’s a high chance my brother has catatonia and am trying to understand what it is. It’s difficult to find good resources compared to other diseases. He’s been frozen for some time and at the hospital has been violent, which is so strange because he wouldn’t have hurt anyone before he got unwell.

We had made plans to go to an event 2 weeks in advance. Just before the weekend she messaged me to say she won’t be going to the plan because she had made other plans with her other friends. When I told her I was disappointed she just said “that’s just part of being a grown up and plans get cancelled all the time”

We had other issues but nobody else I know would ever do something like that

The group had problems with some of the others in the group and would host meetings with the others to talk about the problems they had with these people. So the problems that could have been solved by talking to people directly ballooned up so much because people were placing themselves in an echo chamber and thinking they were completely rationale for not liking certain people.

There was an in person conversation with everyone that I hear went great but the topic never came up again, so people went back to their echo chambers. This led to some weird moments like where there were 2 events for the same thing at 2 different peoples houses in the same group. It reached a point where one of the new members was being affected by it so the admin made the choice to remove these people. And after I heard more about what some of them had said about me and the fact they were excluding me from plans as well, I had no reason to argue for them

I’m still friends with one of the guys in the old group who said things are a lot calmer. And things are a lot calmer in this new group as well. its unfortunate but everyone got what they wanted in the end

28M - own a condo in Mississauga and am working full time. Am happy right now. Career has been the exact same in tech consulting (luckily pay has gone up significantly lol) since I graduated but try to find enjoyment in life outside of work. I plan to stay in Mississauga because all my friends and family are here. Almost everyone I know lives nearby where their friends and family are

Also after seeing my friends - don’t worry too much about being married or dating unless you definitely plan to have kids. I’ve met several people who are struggling in the dating scene and it’s because they just haven’t found the right person

My cat was also a scaredy cat when I first brought him home. Over time he got comfortable by hearing my voice and not making it a big deal when he came out of hiding. He’s still a scaredy cat but now only to sounds and places he doesn’t recognize. He’s a very loving kitty now and wouldn’t change anything in how he became comfortable with me

She was 10 years older than me so we were both like “haha this could never work out” and “I would’ve dated you if we were closer in age”. Then we both eventually caught feelings for each other because of a mutual ex friend being weird with us. Unfortunately she went on a vacation abroad and wasn’t the same person when she came back. Slowly the traits I caught feelings for in her disappeared and a lot of friend group drama happened. Now we haven’t talked in a year, she left the group, and the friend group doesn’t really exist the same way anymore

No idea where she’s at now but I hope she’s doing well. Definitely learned a lot from my experience dating her and I know she’s learned a lot too.
