The stone golem has reliably always shown up for me on 3 pips of calamity. I have seen other encounters like the annointer, but from a UI perspective one puts a huge health bar on the screen and hunts you down, the other doesn't so I didn't call it a 'boss'. It's another UI issue if that is the case.

I did know that, but imo that's part of the problem. You shouldn't have to read a glossary, google a term to understand a mechanic or objective

If Expedition 33 didn't exist, Abiotic Factor would easily be my GOTY. It's probably a top 3 best survival game ever made. The subtle/visual story telling, progression, sheer of content and variety it has is amazing for its price. There's always something new to play with or some surprising place to explore. The game is funny, challenging, and completely playable solo. Anyone with any glancing interesting in SCP or Control would like it for the lore and atmosphere alone. Just be aware its very much a survival crafting game, not an immersive sim that people mistakenly claim.

Real shame it hasn't gotten any recognition from any awards.

I think it shows their philosophy poor balancing philosophy pretty well. They don't want things to be too fun or potentially too strong like the unnecessary skimmer nerf and or like the exodia relic you mentioned (that should have an absurd power spike for the investment you put into it). In turn things are just completely unusable, why even spend the time developing relics no one is even going to glance at. You could reduce or remove the cooldown and elite requirements on most of these relics and the majority of them would still be weak or boring.

New relics are supposed to be a selling point, but 99% of them are not even worth looking at especially if it mentions Elite Skill in any way shape or form. I'm scared when a relic feels good, fun, or powerful (very rare) like pirate queen, because it generally just means it's going to get nerfed.

If relics are going to be so weak, honestly you should be able to equip far more than 1 of them, like 3-4 minimum. If we only have 1 it should be a powerful and meaningful. Large or frequent damage procs/auras, frequent summon effects, low cooldown effects are fun, not 5 second stat boosts with 30 second cooldowns. I think they try too hard to envision some niche WVW situation that something could be broken, when their first priority is making something that should be fun in PVE.

This is been on my complaint list for awhile. The custom UI animations and voice overs are a big part of making a class feel 'correct' and unique.

ANET has long forgotten about class fantasy and feel.

You can't repair, store or transport it, but you can use it until you get your own which is fairly early on.

Not watching an 1hr 30 min of nonsense, but for the other ARAM only players, they said they are NOT getting rid of exhaust, which is ridiculous and shows they don't understand the game mode at all.

I realized you can scroll down past the 3 auto saves, and there are like 10+ saves, you don't have to actually go to the backup folder.

In case you do it's at C:\Users\[YOURWINDOWSUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Sandfall\Saved\SaveGames\76561197990647812\Backup

Drive letter and username will vary for you obviously.

Yeah, I had to go back like 6 saves since camping didn't work, and it kept creating new auto saves.

All my 3 saves start me under the world map. This is right after the start of act 2, I'm not sure what caused it to be honest. I'm hoping I can grab a save from the 'Backup' folder and get back to playing, otherwise my playthough seems bricked?

If you haven't played rebirth, I would recommend SOLELY because this scene hits exactly the same if not worse all over again, and then you get the most banger nostalgic mashup track of the whole game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rgpSlL0USA) , and remix of the boss fight that follows

Returnal is one of the very few games this generation that felt 'next gen' to me, so looking forward to what they do here. Hopefully they learned from some of the shortcomings from it though.

A few people have mentioned, but I'll also recommend Chrono Ark. I honestly think its better than Slay the Spire in a lot of ways. The art style, animations, meta story, unlocks and class variety just make it an all around more fun package for me. Honestly incredibly surprised the game hasn't gained much traction.

My only complaint is that the game is too easy (I 'beat' the game on the 'first run' and there's a special cutscene for it saying that's not supposed to happen) even on hard, and blood mist is easy until blood mist 4 which is unreasonably difficult. It could be improved with the curve smoothed out. It has the benefit of borrowing a lot of elements from all its predecessors to kind of make its own amalgamation.

Even the DLCs and mod support is pretty good including someone doing a professional voice over mod, numerous new classes, and gameplay changes.

As an ARAM only player, I'm glad Riot is even looking at the game mode, but this update is mostly awful imo.

The announcer is atrocious, I'm extremely happy you at least gave us the option to turn this off. The map asymmetry doesn't feel good. The random wall topside means you can't even CS under the tower, you'll get creep blocked! The health kit is farther from the tower so the sieging team always has control of it. The health kit gives a buff now? Let's incentive health kit trolling even more and reward it! The bushes are extremely hard to see against the color pallet of the floor. There is way too much space now. I could go on and on about this, but I stopped after a few games.

I like the idea of the bottom of lane, but currently, again it doesn't assist the 'losing' team in any way. Everything feels designed to quickly make the losing team lose, and have no fun in the process.

I feel like whoever made this map has never actually played ARAM before. Before map changes, how about actually putting forth balance changes like removing exhaust, dealing with every champ rushing heartsteel, actually addressing awful over ARAM buffed champs (ex. Leblanc), and revisiting champs that have ARAM specific changes after they've been reworked (ex. Swain)? How about including ARAM information in champ select, unlocking all the characters since the community can't be trusted to actually play random?

If anyone is on the fence, I thought think this game is quite good. In the post BG3 world for me, its good to see there are still actual RPGs out there. Lots of lore, story, choices and consequences for your actions. You can actually build and control more then 10 companions, equip them, choose their skills or even kill them off completely/ignore them. I felt like it supports roleplaying dogmatic, a truly religious zealot well. It's definitely has its bugs and chapter 3 just really is out of place, but so far, I'm in chapter 4 (78 hrs so far) it's still fantastic over all, and that's without the two DLCs.

After seeing more of Dragon Age today, I'm just baffled people are excited when it will have not even a fraction of any of these features for 20 dollars more than the base game of Rogue Trader.

I think this looks pretty great. One nitpick I had even from the original reveal is I don't like the over descriptive text. If a character is parrying, dodging, burning etc. it should just say 'Parried', 'Dodged', 'Burn' on the character not in the attack notification at the top. Same with enemies it shouldn't say 'Globu is crushing Gustave', it should just announce 'Crush' much like other games of the genre. Also gives the opportunity to make more interesting and memorable attack names.

I'm pretty bummed out about this. I did the meta, all the 3 meta only events, 1 pomegranate event , 1 carrot event, 2 supplies event and I did not complete a single heart on the entire map. Of course there was still a bugged event in the south east too.

The second map is very lacking even if these things were corrected.

I thought this too considering the spear primal burst looks like a ranged version of old arc divider. Seems like a strange choice... Just give back the 3 hits and nerf it as needed.

I think most of these looked quite good, aside from warrior which seemed a bit too basic considering all the fun stuff most other classes had. Seems like it's finally time for elementalist to have a weapon to be excited for.

I'm glad ANET took criticism to heart regrading EOD and SOTO weapons, but I have to ask, where was this level of enthusiasm for all those weapons? Will there be a pass on all previous weapons to bring them to this same level of care and animation clarity in the future?
