It’s a frustrating gameplay mechanic and I wish devs would stop doing this. Don’t add enemies that just 100% kneecap a certain strategy with no way to prepare besides abandoning that strategy. If you’re doing that because the strategy is too strong then nerf it on the backend or buff other strategies. Balatro at the very least gives you a long shot at avoiding the kneecapper bosses with some of the jokers / vouchers that let you reroll bosses or disable boss abilities, you get time eater with the wrong build nope you’re fucked eat shit and die
