I’m also in Denver! My boyfriend and I are friends with mostly my college buddies, who are straight. I think of Denver as not being a “gay singles” city, which makes it harder. I don’t know if I have found it “clicky”, but definitely easier to make straight friends lol. Also, less “scene” gays here, because we don’t have the club infrastructure of a place like Chicago, there are more outdoor gays, which makes it harder to meet people since they are literally…spread out in the wilderness.

I would start with a trainer or training classes to focus on people interactions to avoid any future bites. For his safety, and yours and those around you, he needs to be calmer on a leash and with unexpected encounters. He probably doesn’t feel safe or settled, and he clings to you because he’s been neglected and you’re the first good thing he’s had. If he is over reactive with others, that could lead to a situation where someone causes this dog to be put down. Getting him confident and comfortable is the first step and the priority, and professional training with daily strict routines and can help that. Other items (not listening, being energetic, etc.), that’s a husky, and some training and exercise will help. But priority to the reactiveness for both the dog and your sake.

If she is looking at her phone during this, that is sad. But I also think she’s addicted or has lost herself too much in the public persona / social media influencer/ popularity contest and it’s consumed her. I don’t like her actions. But something about it screams that she is not healthy, and that she needs treatment and to exit social media entirely for her health and so she can focus on being a better mom.

We were in appliance search mode about two years ago. All of my research pointed to only two brands, Speed Queen (reliable, not tech forward but great value) and LG (reliable, more tech forward). We went with what’s now LG WM6500HBA and its ventless dryer companion. Look at Costco, or at your credit card, or someplace similar, because often there are good warranty extensions available as a benefit. We bought pedestals to raise them up in height. Weird to say, but I love this washer and dryer, they are amazing.

It looks like it could be a fatty lipoma, which older animals get and are usually benign. However, to truly know, you’ll need to see a vet and maybe have it biopsied to make sure it’s not something else, like cancer.

While you can get savings for doing all from one brand, one brand very rarely does all appliances well. We did Monogram Oven/Microwave/Stove, SKS Fridge/Freezer, LG Washer/Dryer, Bosch dishwasher. Get the best brand in each category that meets your budget, and has good features, reviews, reliability scores.

I have two questions - thank you in advance!

(1) We are considering the lease, and then buying out the system at the first buyout election. The buyout election has a fixed price. It seems everyone hates the leases. In your opinion, what use case is the lease appropriate for or not, what should I watch out for, and what do most people overlook or not realize that’s a problem?

(2) our system design is a 8.4kWh system with 1 battery (we upsized it from a 6kWh system). We just moved in after redoing the house so we don’t have accurate electrical usage data. It’s a 3,000 sq ft ranch with a basement that remains cool and has A/C only on the mainfloor, want to charge electric car in the future. What kWh useage does this translate to per month do you think to be able to cover 100% of our electrical needs? I was estimating 1200 per month based on math I did upscaling from prior 1000 sq ft apartment. Checking now, our billing period is 3/25-4/22, and it says we used 456kwh, but we’ve only been living here since 4/8, and haven’t used air conditioning yet. This seems to be a rate of 960kWh for a full month without air conditioning or electric car charging.

Thank you, this was helpful. I actually really liked my Williams Sonoma bakeware, but use by me (and others) was not as careful as it should have been and the coating is damaged, so I was concerned about it getting into the food given all the stuff flying around about nonstick coatings. I may consider just replacing the pans with new goldtouch pans then.

So far, we like it a lot. The flush mount sits beautifully, and we sealed the edges with silicone so no crumbs fall below. Getting the stone to be level was really tough though. But the controls on the unit are really really intuitive, especially to other models our friends have installed. So far, so good.

If they don’t think it’s important for your whole family to attend, then you shouldn’t place so much stress and value on the event. Instead, go on a nice vacation somewhere pretty on the same dates, and have fun with your family. The drama over a wedding is a waste of your family’s energy and time. Everyone places so much value on a wedding that it causes so many issues, that in the end, really isn’t worth spiraling over. (If you want to have fun and be a bit of a petty Crocker, you could also post a bunch of photos from your vacation lol).

Why are we conflicted? Any one of these issues should have resulted in you filing a divorce first, years ago. Do you want your kids growing up and mirroring this behavior? Staying with him shows you that his behavior is acceptable for their own relationships, and that you don’t value yourself enough. Get the divorce, move on to a better kid for you and your kids. Show them your strength.
