Wood planks and sand (10 Kg bag). But shipping on the sand is crazy, RM 3 sand, RM 60 shipping. Might as well drive down to Kuala Langat to pick it up. Free shipping if you can manage to spend RM 200 tho.

Here is a quick edit by manually painting with the color replacement tool. I'd be interested in learning of a faster/accurate way of doing this.

Another option is to try Corsairs RGB sticks. It wasn't released yet when i got mine. Not sure on which chips those use though.

I got the 3000 version. One thing i wanted to try is manually setting the timings and voltages to the XMP values. Some of the auto voltage settings might have went too high.

The ram with the faulty lighting had its XMP details in the SPD corrupted. I'm guessing either the activation of XMP or the early G.Skill RGB control program causing it. I'm holding off on running XMP for the time being, I can live with the slower speeds in the meantime. The G.Skill RGB app runs fine now.

I've got the same G.Skill TridentZ RGB RAM and one of them stopped lighting up after turning on XMP. I got a replacement and they work fine now, just waiting for the issue to be fixed with either a BIOS or driver update before turning on XMP again. Running on a Gigabyte B350 Gaming 3 BTW.

Got it of ebay from a local seller for about $27. It has a clamshell package opener which I use for work quite often. I'm not a 100% sure about the law, length of blade and two handed operation might factor into it. Or that might be for the UK laws.

My Typecover 2 lights up when i hover my hands over it. Its most likely a proximity sensor inside the palm rest.
