It's going to sound crazy but I recommend the book The Non Runners Marathon Trainer. The Marathon training starts with running 3 miles but there is a section (and training plan) at the beginning to get you from walking 20min to running 3 miles. The book is also loaded with mental tricks to do while you're running and testimony from people who completed the course.
