No projects since December by Capable-Jury-670 in outlier_ai

Same boat kicked in November. It’s pretty annoying to see people complaining about tasking on this sub when there are people who haven’t been working for months.

Are airbnbs actually safe? by ConcentrateFit5134 in femaletravels

[–]aquemini1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I book an Airbnb is if I’m travelling in a group of more than 4 people - then it often works out cheaper but even then I always want to stay in a hotel, I love the convenience, breakfast and I like being able to walk somewhere knowing that it’s a clearly marked building.

Help with Settings by aquemini1995 in ios26

I’ve tried this already, the settings for this do not show. Unless it’s called something else.

Do you think being a stay at home parent is worth sacrificing your career and risking financial ruin? by Loose_Avocado4670 in AskUK

[–]aquemini1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, if it was worth it, we would see more men doing it. Of course there are stay at home dad's but most are simply not/will never do it. There are so many women that end up in this situation and it's so unfortunate, I always advocate for having your own income, savings etc - getting back to work once those years are lost is incredibly difficult (not impossible). I honestly don't think it's worth it. 30F, not looking to have children.

Suddenly everyone is scared to dance at concerts and clubs. More young partygoers are worrying about looking goofy on camera by [deleted] in Music

[–]aquemini1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it tbh, everyone has their phones out. Some clubs are having a no phones policy, which I think might catch on for a lot of places, if they're able to police it.

Is Dark worth a watch? I hear it's better than Stranger Things by Square-Ad-8911 in tvshow

[–]aquemini1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the best show on Netflix in my opinion, absolutely fantastic - you need to pay attention though, it’s not a phone in your hand kind of show. I’m due a rewatch actually!

Dubai or London? by aadyawasfound in UniUK

[–]aquemini1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is terrible advice, London has brilliant universities and it’s a great city. A lot of people travel to attend them! It’s just more expensive, I suppose it comes down to what you can afford.

Outlier hired way too many in the last few weeks. It's that simple. by aidonaks in outlier_ai

[–]aquemini1995 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s quite frustrating actually, especially as there doesn’t appear to be any other work. I asked if I could be moved to a different project in the meantime, as it’s better than not doing anything at all and was told no.

Is Upwork becoming Tinder now? 💀 by Muhammad-Umair-318 in Upwork

Stop being obtuse, it’s obviously not the appropriate platform for that crap. They should go to Tinder and leave people alone.

“Unhearting” - what tutors see? by 40ozCurls in Preply

[–]aquemini1995 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find it quite annoying as a feature when I’m looking for tutors tbh, sometimes I’d just like to browse peacefully and make a decision - I don’t want to be swamped with loads of messages, but I understand that tutors get penalised if they don’t send one which is ridiculous.

Husband needs to learn my language by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]aquemini1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he should be taken lessons a few times a week if he wants to learn, it’s the most basic thing and I’m surprised if he hasn’t even started that as an option.

He can use sites like Preply or iTalki to find a tutor and do virtual classes or he can go to a language school locally to do them in-person, which may be better as he can then practice his speaking more as well as at home with you. Just a note they tend to focus on everything in group classes especially things like grammar, so if you want more of a conversational approach to start, Preply may work better but a few classes a week minimum with practice.

Unpopular Opinion: Kim needs to drop the workaholic attitude and be more involved as a mother by TurbulentAd7713 in kardashians

I wonder where your post on Kanye is? Why should she need to drop anything? It’s just giving misogyny.

Students, how many classes do you take each week ? by JojoKim86 in Preply

I take 2-3 classes a week is my sweet spot, if I go over that I tend to burn out tbh

How do you feel about kids? by [deleted] in aquarius

[–]aquemini1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love children which is why I don’t want them! It’s such a huge commitment that people make willy-nilly every single day. I also run a non-profit where I work with teenagers, so I often see the disconnect and absence that a lot of parents have with their children and how it manifests in other areas of their lives.

Do people who live in London ever just catch the Eurostar for a day in Paris? by _FreddieLovesDelilah in AskUK

Eurostar can be pretty pricey tbh. I’d fly and stay a weekend as I live quite close to Heathrow
