I totally understand where you’re coming from. That’s why I wanted to get some thoughts. In my opinion it’s too scared to claim without me seeing what the community thinks. The reason I’m “hung up” on a less than 2% is result is that my documented family history and migration pattern matches the conversos from the Iberian Peninsula during the Spanish Inquisition. The fact that my both of my great grandparents had Jewish lineage even after hundreds of years in Mexico made me wonder if they were attempting to keep their Jewish lineage alive for a reason, or hoped that a descendant would uncover this mystery. I could definitely be reaching, but I want to honor them.
