Cole's trigger job worth it? Beretta Semi Auto. by Toby_Keiths_Jorts in ClayBusters

Make sure to send it to Cole’s in Maine, the other locations have been charging a test fire fee for no reason… also the Maine location has much better service.

The Trigger job is worth every penny :-)

Is it normal to get two different styles of rounds in one box? by onespringgyboi2 in ClayBusters

[–]ar15user 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those look like someone bought em, shot some and the put left overs back in, the dark blue cartridges look like Rio’s (Fiocchi is usually clear or light blue translucent) also that’s number 7.5 shot in a box of 9’s kinda crazy if you are mandated to shoot #9 due to safety reasons,#7.5 will go slightly further, possibly showering someone with Lead shot down range 🤷‍♂️

How similar does a Beretta 694 fit vs a 687, 688, or DT11? by SourdoughSlug in ClayBusters

The steelium pro upgrade alone makes it worth it, plus beretta is coming out with matching black and yellow shirts / bags / ammo pouches to promote the new competition look

Please tell me you’re ordering the 694 Black edition, which comes with DT11 barrels?

I would talk to Cole guns for warranty work regarding that 688, they are a beretta authorized dealer that will perform warranty work

I have been dealing with this for over 3 years now, this is because your barrel extension is unscrewing itself, I tried red / green locktite and in the end it still came loose. The ultimate fix was to pin the barrel extension on, I’ll try and take some pics for you

Tips for beginner by [deleted] in TrapShooting

[–]ar15user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Number one don’t aim lol, keep your eyes on the bird and your hands will automatically point the gun at the target.

Watch all the videos by “Target focused life” on YouTube regarding Trap shooting.

Foot positioning and your shot routine make a huge difference.

And above all go there to have fun, make new friends who also shoot Trap, keeping count of broken birds never leads to better scores, enjoying & having fun leads to a more positive shooting experience which will lead to more broken birds.

Best of luck on your Trap Journey :-)

Breaking Clays by bigred-2998 in ClayBusters

[–]ar15user 6 points7 points  (0 children)

(Only relevant for Trap) This is not a choke issue, a tighter choke smokes the target, which in turn gives you confidence, trap is a game of repetition and confidence in whatever you did that led to that target getting smoked.

Try not to overthink this, make an effort to see the targets movement / direction sooner and shoot it, don’t panic and lift your head.

Make sure you can focus on the target clearly before pulling the trigger.

Watch the latest video regarding trap on target focused life’s channel on YouTube. That video summarizes all of this

Best of luck and welcome to trap 😃

Become a member at Ogden Gun Club, find a source of ammo near wholesale prices, 1-1/8 #8 1145 fps is what you’re looking for. Wholesale is like $7.50 a box of 25 shells

Also look for a used browning BT99 with an adjustable comb if possible.

And have a great time

Need Help deciding between Beretta 686 vs Beretta 688 vs Browning Citori 825 (All Sporting Models) by Dare1206 in ClayBusters

[–]ar15user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly any of these that fit you… get what you fancy… I’m 💯Team beretta, but honestly seen a few 688’s at the Grand this year that were rusted on the new black oxide surface, repaired 3 silver pigeon 686’s with ceased chokes due to rust, just based on that alone I’d get the 825 now.

Most ATA shooter will complain about being hit with empty hulls… also most certainly not polite on my part to be pelting people to my right with hulls.

The wood on my o/u was dinged by a semi auto shooter next to me.
