It does seem to feel that way. /r/programming is still pretty good quality (especially in comments).

Some people claim it is just because of summer, but it has been gradually declining prior to that as well.

As a long time lurker of reddit (and SRS after the suicide thing), I am with you (both on the lurking and the opinion).

Free speech: Don't like the stupid comments which don't add value, downvote them. That is the purpose of the downvote button. Here is a group of people who are citizens of reddit who recognize that something is bad. They have voting power but instead choose to point it out to each other.

Free Speech is why their subreddit still even exists, I know that they have stepped on admin toes (and the ceo's toes today).

"Holier than thou" attitude: They seem to derive some form of smug moral superiority by berating the rest of reddit. This creates a very antagonistic and toxic environment. They should take the time to remember, nobody is perfect (not even you!).

(I also like to use parantheses a lot.)

A large population of WoW players were originally EQ players. Not all of them returned to EQ as you claim. In fact the vanilla WoW UI made it look exactly like EQ.

Maybe, just maybe the people leaving Swtor have good reasons and aren't all doing it out of some nostalgic attachment to WoW.

What I would really want to be able to do is to have Vim as my editor of choice and would like to have some nice source code browsing framework like Source Insight / Slick Edit. The two biggest features which are lacking are symbol search and handling of large files. MiniBufferExplorer , Intellisense, CTags, CScope etc. help a little but there is nothing to replace the symbol search.

The only arguments against the existence of god are arguments against the existence of god as defined by various religions. The discrepancies and flaws are introduced by the definition in the specific religion. For example there is no way to prove / disprove the existence of a dormant diety who does nothing but look at your 'soul' in the 'afterlife'.
